Current Reads... Late August

Holy Smokes!! Where on earth has summer gone??!! I love summer so much and am always so sad to see my boys head back to school - I miss them so much! Although, with all the busyness of vacations and kiddo activities, my reading momentum took a serious hit. I may not have read quite as much as normal, but I did manage to read some really great titles and greatly enjoyed several of those journeys. PLUS!! I just finished reading my 100th book for 2019!!!

So how about you? What paper adventures have you been caught up in since our last check-in?

I read A Fire Sparkling from the Amazon First Reads (loved it).
Am reading The Miscalculations of Lightning Girl with the kids and we all love it because she's a math whiz and we love math.
I'm also reading the 100 series. I just finished book 2. So far, it's meh. Lots of teenage romance and not enough action for my liking. The tv series is better...
I also just started The Secrets of Lost Stones. So far, pretty good...

WOW Loni, congrats!

I have All The Lights We Cannot See ad City of Ghost on my kindle but I'm currently still in the middle of Ready Player One for the sci fi and fantasy week early this month. I must say that I love the book so far.

Wow...100 books, that is impressive! I've read almost 50 which is more than last for me. Here's what I've read since our last check-in in June.

Loved The Chain, Lady In The Lake, Shelter In Place, This Is How It Always Is and Stars of Fortune. All the books in my list are good but these ones I loved just a little bit more.

I also read the Tattooist of Auschwitz but I did not enjoy the writing style. When I found out the author was a screen writer and the book had originally been written for the screen it made sense.
