I'm SO happy to be back!!!

Whew!! It has been a crazy 5 months for me!
https://media.giphy.com/media/l46CBE...mCnC/giphy.gif

I spent almost 3 months in CA getting my mom ready to move - painting, clearing, repairing and packing! Then, I came home, and I had to get our house packed.
https://media.giphy.com/media/QyDy07...sEiB/giphy.gif

We moved into our new house last weekend, but there is still construction going on in the kitchen and master bathroom.

The kitchen should be finished & painted this week, so we'll be able to cook (okay, seriously, I love eating out, but enough is enough! :D )

Anyway, I just wanted to say "hi!" again, and tell you I'm so glad to be back and able to scrap again!!!!

What have y'all been up to for the past 5 months??!

StacyLynn 02-23-2020 09:48 PM

Welcome back!!

knittingbec 02-23-2020 10:03 PM

Welcome back! I've been wondering when you'd have a chance to get here & hoping things have been going as smoothly as possible for you!

laurabobaura 02-23-2020 11:21 PM

"welcome back" xo

AmieN1 02-24-2020 12:34 AM

Yay! Light at the end of the tunnel! ;)

Amber Dixon 02-24-2020 01:17 AM

I'm so happy you're back!! <3

bcgal00 02-24-2020 01:28 AM

You've been on busy gal! Hope you love your new home. Bet you can't wait for the renos to be done and you were getting a craft room weren't you? I thought you had said something about that.

Nothing new with me, working, scrapping, lots of walks with Taz and lots of photos taken of Taz, wildlife and family candids. Oh yes.....of course lots of TV binging too :)

JoCee 02-24-2020 02:36 AM

wahoo, so happy to have you back and in good form. sounds like one huge job but you are on the other side of it, almost. yay. xx

joelsgirl 02-24-2020 03:16 AM

Glad you're back in your own space! I hope things are great with your mom living with y'all.

Saar 02-24-2020 05:01 AM

I'm so happy to see you here again!
Welcome back my friend.

Congratulations with your new home.

Kiana 02-24-2020 06:52 AM

Welcome back Tammy. So glad you've gotten all moved even if there is a little construction.

allyanne 02-24-2020 07:11 AM

Whew, that's a lot! I hope you have lots of time and opportunities to recover! Glad to see you back!

LynnZant 02-24-2020 07:16 AM

Welcome back! Sounds like a crazy five months. Here's to things settling down and you getting into a comfortable routine.

lizziej 02-24-2020 07:33 AM

Welcome back! I haven't been at SSD much, so I don't know all about your move other than this thread. I hope you enjoy your new home! Packing and moving is so hard (physically and usually emotionally), but to do it for two homes is A LOT! How strong you are! I read on a response above mine that your mom will be living with you. That will probably save you a lot of time with the running around that you were probably doing before. Hopefully you will be able to rest a bit soon and get to your new normal. I agree with you about eating out -- as much as I love it, it can get old pretty quickly.

Neverland Scraps 02-24-2020 08:21 AM

It's been a LONG 5-months and I've not done any of the stuff you've done!! I bet you are exhausted and can't wait for your house to finally be done and fully unpacked!!! SO glad you are back (somewhat) in these last few steps of this chapter of moving!!!!!

I'm sure we'll love it once the renos are done! LOL! It's been a a challenge! Yes, I have a craft room now! It's not anywhere near ready yet, but I do have my computer set up :)

Honestly, a slower pace sounds ideal right now, Rae!

Yes, my mom is living with us now. Once she feels settled, it will be a lot smoother. It's been a bit of a struggle for her.

Welcome back! I'm glad you're through all the craziness that was both house sales and the move. I hope things settle down into your new normal soon. Nothing much new here--school and work have been keeping us all busy. I'm finally making progress again on some of my scrappy projects, which really wasn't happening enough over the summer and fall.

Kjersti 02-25-2020 12:00 PM

WoooooHoooooo!!!!! I've totally missed you!

Thank you, Rebecca!! It has been a lot of work, but I'd say it is going relatively smoothly (knock on wood! LOL!).

Glad you're back-back! I don't think I could have lived without my computer for months as you did when in CA!

The renovations sound exciting and loved seeing your selections, so will love seeing "done" pics too!

What's happened here in 5 months? Some difficulties with one son and some health issues with my MIL. She's been with us the last 2 months and she can't drive so that's my new "job". That's it here! Can't imagine doing all you did in the last 5 months! Glad you're getting settled.

Your layouts were deeply missed, welcome back!!

Haha! I had some false starts, that's for sure! It was torture not being able to scrap!

I will be so happy to show "done" pics!

I'm sorry you've had difficulties with your son. Will your MIL be a permanent resident? My mom has (so far) decided she's done driving, so I get you there. I hope things start getting better with those two
