Funeral of the Queen

Who has seen it?

We have watched it all day long it was impressive and very beautiful.

There were moments both my hubby and me got goosebumps for example the moment the chest was going to westmister abbey. The doodle bags and Royal Navy and all guards just wow!

everything was so beautifully registered, and the moment of the last time singing God Save the Queen brought a few tears too...

Somewhere I was surprised to see mounties too, but that was obvious of course that they were there.

I watched part of it just to see the pageantry. I'm not much for royalty, given that they are just people like the rest of us, but I respected the queen for a lifetime of service with honor and her funeral was beautiful. Definitely a vision of a bygone era.

Yep, I watched quite a bit of everything since her death. Even though I live in the US, I am mesmerized by the pageantry of all things British. Almost 80% of my heritage is from the British Isles so I guess that is why.

I took some screen shots of a feed I was watching on my computer today. I got one of King Charles III during the singing of "God Save The King". He has his eyes closed and you can see he is emotional.

I plan on doing a 2 page layout about "Operation London Bridge" because it fascinates me that this was planned many decades ago and tweaked over the years.

If I had time today, I probably would have watched. I watched both William's wedding which was lots of fun.

Hubby was glued to the tv, I caught snippets on instagram.
I appreciate all her years of duty and service.

A had a week vacation, and yesterday was my first day back to work . So couldn't watch.
I watched the news in the evening and Jinek .

I don't do funerals IRL or on TV as I usually want to remember the person in life, not death. I had the highest regard for the Queen and thought she lived a remarkable life of service with dignity and grace.

I watched snippets of the event on Insta. It was a beautiful tribute to an exceptional woman. I'm still trying to digest a world without the Queen in it...

I caught a few moments here and there, and agree it was so beautiful. She was quite a woman and leader. I agree with Jenny - I can't fathom a world without The Queen :(

My mom watched most of it. I popped every so often to see some of it.

We watched a lot of it over the whole period. It was so beautiful and full of pomp and pageantry.

I thought of you Wendy.
I watched the funeral until the end of the mass because unfortunately I had an appointment but I was very touched and I found that her funeral was magnificent although very sad.
I agree with Krista and Jenny that it feels weird to have a World without the Queen now.
I only knew her as Queen and even if I'm not English, I think she was a great Lady who leaves now! She's been through so much History.
I really won't forget this day.

I didn't get to see it at all, so I'll need to watch it on YouTube or elsewhere. It is very strange to me to hear "King Charles," because up until now I've only known about "Queen Elizabeth."
