This month we will be tackling The Happiness Project. With a new year comes the need to refresh and renew our souls and I think this will be the perfect start to this years Sweet Reads! Can't wait to read it and discuss it myself!!

Just put this book so I'm first on the waiting list for the Kindle rental....

So I started yesterday, and I'm already about 50 pages in...totally good read...can't wait to talk about it!

I downloaded it to my Kindle. Once I finish my current book (today or tomorrow) I'm going to start it.

I've got it on hold at the library. It's $10 for my Nook and not wanting to spend that right now.

I bought this book a few years ago but never came to finishing it. Will start reading it again!

I just purchased the 5 yr journal that goes along with it - due to arrive and can't wait to dive into it. Guess this would be a good reason to go ahead and get the book too! :-)

Just bought the book last New Year's - so perfect that it's the book of the month!

I got the book on my Kindle and started reading tonight. I'm partway through January and this lady is SERIOUSLY stepping on my toes.

I mean, really.

...I'm even headed to finish cleaning out my closet (a task I started a couple of weeks ago).

Sounds interesting. I'll add it to my nook and start it as soon as I finish Catching Fire.

I know! I got up last night from my reading and cleaned out a bathroom closet. I had to have an empty shelf, too... :blush:

Oh yay! I have this book already! I started reading it a few months back but didn't get very far. Time to get it back out!

Oh I read this book over a year ago and had an uh, interesting, reaction to it, haha. Will be interesting to see what others have to say about it!

The February chapter is a little harder for me to click with right now.

The topic of Marriage isn't really where I'm at right now- I don't have a husband for this chapter. I think a few of her ideas there are a bit strange or antiquated, but maybe it's just how she's worded it. I did find a lot of tips for fighting fair that help in my household, though-- after all, who doesn't need help in fighting fair?

I'm enjoying the book so far, for the most part. She and I have disagreed on a few points, but for the most part, I'm tracking with it.

Oh. And she grew up in KC and comes and visits her family here a couple of times a year... cool!

Started this last night and so far I'm really enjoying it. I'm just getting into April now. She's really making me feel bad and I want to clean out closets and be extra nice to my DH now. :) I even bought baskets while I was at Wal-Mart tonight to organize the medicine cabinet. :)

I admit..I'm having a hard time getting into it..i hate when this happens b/c I WANT to read and like it..but eh

I wanted to get this book last week, I forget to check in and see what the book club book was, lol! I need to go to the library this week anyway, maybe I'll see if it's available. I'd love to read it on my kindle but I'm not spending $10 for it.

I'm about 50% through and I am really loving it. I find myself making notes on passages in the Kindle, which I never do. I'm really interested to see how December comes together for her.

I feel like a slacker- I'm still trekking through March. It's a good book, but I'm trying to find time. Lol, it seems every time I pick up the book, I put it down to go work on something. So far I've cleaned my closet a bit, worked on my bathroom, and cleaned a good chunk of our kitchen cabinets last night. Then, I was reading about the blogging and decided "Oh, I haven't blogged in a couple of days," so went and did that... I need to keep my attention span in check.

I thought that this was such an interesting book. Last year, I participated in scrappingelated Happiness Project blog hop where we tackled her topics month by month. It was lots of fun. I had borrowed it from the library, but just purchased it on my Kindle. I'm going to reread and catch up with you guys. :D

I am just getting into it - just finishing January. I also have the urge to clean. LOL

I am finding some of it a little "textbook-ish", if you know what I mean. Too many stats and facts...not enough story.

I also disagree a little bit with her "happiness is the reason for living" theory...although I don't disagree with wanting to be happy! An interesting read so far..

so i'm going to start reading this again. i'm on March.

I'm in June. I had a hard time getting through May. Not sure why. I don't mind the stats but I'm a nerd.

I'm almost finished - on November. I do like it, but after about April it got harder for me to read. I still enjoyed it, but as her ideas differed more from mine it was harder to stick with it.

Libraries can be such a pain sometimes. I was making a huge dent in this book and was really getting into it when I had to return it because it was on hold for someone. Putting myself back on the hold list so I can finish it.

Do y'all wanna carry this on into Feb? I'm only on April (isuck)

if not we can choose a new book but I'd love to finish it up!

I'm all for continuing it - I've only read a couple chapters because I read twilight for another book club and then ended up reading the other 3 books in that series too instead. I do want to still finish this!

I'm up for continuing it... I got into another book and never finished. This one stopped carrying my interest...

same here. I didn't get as far, because by the time I got the book I was trying to finish another book. Turns out there were over 30 people with that book on the Kindle waiting list, so I ended up waiting for it on the regular library's hard book list for a bit. So I'm still on January....

Wow. I am having the hardest time concentrating on this book! It has given me a lot to think about so far, but for some reason I just haven't been able to get into it very well and find myself having to almost force myself to read it, lol.

I finished the book, but I must say my interest waned when she started getting into friendships in June. I think it was at that point that her approach started turning me off. After that I only half-heartedly read the book, though my interest picked up a little during the September chapter.
