Just a note...
 

... as you guys know, we're devastated by the loss of our colleague and dear friend Amber here at SSD.

I have received a ton of sweet and sympathetic messages from people who admired and loved her and who want to *do* something to help.

I am currently doing my very best to come up with the answers and a plan to honor Amber and help her loved ones as a community. The nature of the situation is complex, so please allow us time to figure these difficult questions. The moment we have a plan, we will let the community know.

Thanks so much for your understanding and support during this incredibly difficult time for our team.

Thank you, Robin. I'm sure that Amber's family is in shock and not at all ready yet to think about what might help. Once you know and have something organized, I'm sure there will be a lot of us ready to contribute.

I just joined up today, I had to when I heard this dreadful news. I wanted to say how shocked and heartbroken I felt about this tragedy. It's so very sad, and my heart goes out to their surviving children.

I am a designer at e-Scape & Scrap but I would love to contribute to a kit if that is what is planned or one of the things planned. Hugs to the whole community, I feel bereft so I can only imagine what you all must be feeling.

Yesterday I was talking to my husband HOW PROUD I am for being part of a community that has a big heart like the ones you all have.

It is beautiful to see everyone talking soooo many good things about Amber. And knowing there are SO many people out there trying to help.

Proud of being part of this team, this family, this community. Thank you, Robin, for the 9174589673921739 time for giving me a chance to be part of it all.

This is so devastating. Thank you, Robin, for planning a way to honor Amber. It is truly a loss, and her family is in my prayers.

Words cannot describe the grief that so many of us are going through right now. I can only imagine how those really close to her are hurting today. Praying for you all to find peace, comfort and closure in this terrible tragedy as well as wisdom and guidance for SSD to do the right thing to honor Amber.

I agree with Tammy. I really wish we were all closer to love on one another during this time.

It had been awhile since I have posted here but I had to come back to my "home" to say how sorry I am to hear this news. My prayers and thoughts go out to Amber's family and friends especially her daughter, Devan. I look forward to hearing what you decide to do here - I am here to help.

I think of Amber all day long, I talk about her to my mom and sister, they share the pain of this tragic loss. I still find it is difficult to admit what happen...
I really hope that we can do something to help her children and her family. Again, I'm sure Robin and the team will do the best!

Such shocking and heartbreaking news. I still can't believe how sudden this is, it was a couple of weeks when she told us about how her life was going with homeschool*. Been praying for her three kids and their soul to be free in heavens. Rest in peace.
We will be more than glad to be helping in a way we can. Stay strong, SSD fam.

Days later and it still doesn't seem real. Amber was a beautiful person inside and out with an amazing, loving soul. She will be missed forever.

I just received the newsletter and I think everyone made a GREAT decision. I didn't know her, but I am spinning ... taking this week to grieve and process is the right decision. Thank you for putting people first ... one more reason SSD is home. <3

So heartbreaking. My heart hurts for what happened to her and her family. She didn't deserve any of that and she was so very talented. She will be missed in our community.

I have been so heartbroken since hearing the news on Saturday. Amber was definitely kind-hearted and so very talented. From the moment I met her, she was an open book and was always encouraging to me. I know from reading posts from others that she treated everyone as if they were her special best friend.

Cheryl, I think this statement beautifully describes who Amber was and why her passing is such a big loss to anyone who knew her. There are not many people who can open their hearts to everyone they way she did.
