What are you up to this weekend?

Just curious what everyone else is up to this weekend.

We're having a work around the house day today and hopefully will go see a movie tonight.
Tomorrow we're going out on the boat with our neighbors, which I'm really looking forward to!

Valgal 04-25-2015 09:35 AM

Boat sounds fun! We don't do stuff with our neighbors around here and I wish we did. We chat doing yard work and stuff, but it doesn't really go beyond that. I'm not overly social, but if someone had a boat I'd want to be, lol!

We just had a new dryer delivered and installed so I get to spend the day catching up on this week's laundry.

Woohoo :glare:

We are in Madison for last night into today... DH had to go to the Apple Store to touch and drool over the Apple Watch... and now we are testing driving a car (for the second time) that we might be buying. Then back home where tomorrow I need to get ready for a rummage sale my Mom is having in a week. :)

nesser1981 04-25-2015 10:41 AM

A little cleaning this morning and then tonight we're going to see Steve Martin and Martin Short in concert with DH's parents.

OMG that would be amazing! In the area?

mariewilcox 04-25-2015 10:55 AM

Not much - we're winding down from a week of school vacation and Cheyanne is finishing up a Civics project today. I work today and then have tomorrow off. We might go on a day trip tomorrow to the coast depending on the weather, which has pretty much sucked all week  (even woke up to snow yesterday morning )

fifilur 04-25-2015 12:02 PM

My sister and I almost went to the movies tonight, but with messages not being delivered imidiately and we hadn't really decided to go just talking about maybe going, we ended up feeling it would be too much stress to make it in time.

Sooo, since DS is at his dad's and I'm home alone I'm gonna crank up the music, pour myself a glass of whine and get artsy messy in my studio instead.

KristinCB 04-25-2015 12:03 PM

I'll be working! If anyone catches me around NOT working, slap me! LOL!

newfiemountiewife 04-25-2015 02:05 PM

I'm attempting to scrap more for my Disney book, but I'm just not into it at all. Otherwise, just a bit of housework!

ChristineF 04-25-2015 02:35 PM

A long weekend of celebrations, renovating our toilet and packing our stuff and making ready to sell our house.

Saar 04-25-2015 02:40 PM

I went shopping with my mother. I got a super cute new dress and a jacket.
And this evening I went out for diner. We just got back home.

Tomorrow I'll be studing for an exam at work and scrapping.

We have a busy weekend planned. It's a 3 day weekend here, as we have our equivalent of your Memorial Day. It's also the 100 year anniversary of the Gallipoli battle where our ANZAC soldiers fought (Australia, New Zealand Army Corps) so the whole country is really getting behind the commemorations.

We started Saturday morning by getting up at 4.30am for a Dawn Service at the Military Camp. Then we had a baptism to go to at 12pm, and a missionary welcome home at 5pm. Today I have church, and I have to prepare singing time for the primary children, and also a lesson for the kids class on Tuesday night. Tomorrow we will travel to my nephew's birthday party. We'll probably be there most of the day.

THIS!

rach3975 04-25-2015 04:34 PM

Today we're mostly home except for errands and DD and I going to her friend's birthday party. I'm hoping to get some scrapping done soon. Tomorrow the kids have sports and activities all afternoon.

eranslow 04-25-2015 04:35 PM

After being sick for nearly 2 weeks - I am finally getting the chance to sit and scrap! We went to the grocery store already and later I think we are going to watch Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters since we just finished the book last night. Hubby also rented Unbroken for us to watch once the kiddos go to bed. Tomorrow I teach skating most of the day. That's about it!

kristijoy 04-25-2015 04:59 PM

We just did an overnight camping trip with my son's class to a Living History site. We even dressed up in costume. It was awesome. Now to shower, clean up, eat some real food, and then sit around! :)

We had U-verse installed today (which took FOREVER considering we only had it hooked up to one TV), so we've spent the evening checking out the new channels, getting the new Internet set up, etc.

Tomorrow we're going to the children's museum (free admission tomorrow for Dia de los Ninos -- holla!), to the ILs for lunch, and then out to dinner at our favorite steakhouse.

SeattleSheri 04-25-2015 08:19 PM

I've had such a busy week, I'm content to relax ... BUT there is no rest for the weary, lol. Yesterday I worked, shopped, had a dr. appt, went to a fundraiser and hosted a play date for one of my boys. Today, 2 baseball games, another fundraiser, more shopping, hosted another playdate, carted the other one off to a birthday party and scrapped a bit .... I will be starting dinner in a few. Tomorrow, I'm meeting up with a friend and not sure what else ... hopefully not much ;)

jak 04-25-2015 10:37 PM

Yesterday we went to our local show (what you guys call a county fair I think). Today it's a bit of housework, helping the kids with their homework, hopefully some scrapping... the weather's murky and it's cooling down here so good reason to stay indoors!

carriesmom 04-25-2015 11:12 PM

Holing up in my house for the annual Harley run. Lots of traffic and motorcycles. I don't like crowds. So I have created a new blog. We will see if I manage to blog for more than the 3 posts I have already written. And listening to a bunch of podcasts. I am such a nerd.

I am SO ok with this. :D

littlekiwi 04-26-2015 12:59 AM

I am trying to get a head start on prep for a group assignment due at the end of next month (easier said than done) as well as finish a presentation for the week after NSD - I want next weekend to be free so I can scrap.

Laundry is also on the agenda as well as some stuff for work experience on Tuesday

nietis 04-26-2015 01:26 AM

Saturday was a busy day, went to put in my residence permit extension, went to visit hubby's grandparents, a bit of make up shopping courtesy of hubby! *wee* and went to Ikea to buy our bathroom mirror, only to be told that our choice of mirror is faulty and we couldn't purchase it after we queued and queued...
Today, hubby is in office prepping for lectures tomorrow, I'm home with DS. It's 1.24pm, laundy is hung, we've had lunch and I'm done cleaning. Only left to do are ironing the clothes and my exercise (which, I think, I may have to really drag myself to do it today! I'm so tired...)

At Soaring Eagle in Mount Pleasant. They were in Detroit on Friday, but it was sold out there.
