Just finished my first book of 2017!

I just finished my first book of 2017 - The Couple Next Door. Here's hoping that 2017 is a better reading year than 2016 - which was pretty abysmal for me. I started a lot of books, but just didn't get hooked in by enough of them to finish very many.

Now I'm reading a non-fiction The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well and then I'm going to read All the Light We Cannot See which I'm told is amazing.

What are y'all reading, ladies?

Ooohh. I've heard so much about that book - The Couple Next Door, so I bought it last year but still haven't started reading yet. I'm still fnishing up Loved by the Dragon which I started in the last week of December.

I read 52 books last year and set the same goal for myself this year. I really hope I can make it again!

Next on my list is Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth (Comes out 1/17):

So far this year I've finished Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick, and The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchison. Currently halfway through Amid The Shadows by Michael C Grumley. I have so many on my TBR list.

I'm really torn on The Girl on The Train. The movie looks so good, but I usually enjoy the book better. The movie looks so good though! I'm stuck on if I should read the book first. Anyone seen movie and read book and can tell me if the book is better or if you still liked the movie after reading?

Girl on A Train was hard for me to read I hated the characters.... I think I still want to watch the movie though. I say watch the movie first. I have a feeling the movie may be better than the book.

I finished the News of the World which was very well written, The Immortal Nicholas... I thought was just ok, I think I had high expectations.
Last night I finished I'll Give You the Sun, I cried through the whole book, it was such a whimsical tale.
I just started the Fever Tree by Jennifer McVeigh.

I just finished Where'd You Go, Bernadette, which was okay, but not as great as I'd heard. I'm currently reading Love Warrior and But What If We're Wrong? Both interesting, in their own way.

I just finished Evelyn After. I wasn't really impressed by the end, but I liked the mystery in it.

This is what I'm reading now, and I really like it:
https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1...l/26720236.jpg

I also read this, by Philippa Gregory, and though I'm a really big fan of hers, I thought this one moved too slowly.

I liked this one a lot better:

I loved this story. She tells the bckstory mixed in with the present, and I love how it all comes together at the end:
