What is your favorite form of exercise?

I feel like I go through exercise phases. I've been a runner/racer, I've done shape/toning classes, I was addicted to the elliptical machine for a while and for about a year, got up at 5 to go to spin class (til my ankle decided it didn't like spin class).

Right now, I'm trying to mix it up -- a little running, rowing, yoga and toning workouts interspersed. I just got done with about 3 months of physical therapy for chronic ankle problems so I'm hoping to avoid more repetitive stress.

What's your exercise of choice?

LynnZant 06-01-2017 11:35 AM

It wouldn't be polite to say. :w00t:

Actually, I ride the exercise bike 60 miles a week and do the weight machine five days a week for a little toning. It's boring.

HAHAHAHA! :D

My favorite is a bike ride on my actual bike, but I'm sure I'm not burning many calories like that. It's a cruiser bike with a cute little basket. :D At the gym, I do the weight machines for 30 minutes and the treadmill or stationary bike for 30 minutes. But my favorite EVER is yoga. I don't love the whole yogi buddhist vibe but I love the workout... gentle toning and increased flexibility.

I'm a runner. I'll be running my fourth half marathon in November. I used to hate running so it's a bit ironic that I do it now. Haha!

I also take a crossfit inspired class at the gym 4-5 times a week. I love it. It kicks my ass. I love lifting weights.

Yoga and swimming by far are my favorites with some free weights for more toning.

HIIT ( high intensity interval training ) is my favorite. I usually do versions that incorporate lifting or a lot of bodyweight exercises. I pretty much hate cardio but I get it done this way. I love yoga for pleasure, no Bikram for me though.

ummm...........does changing the channel on the remote work? :o

I enjoy walking but only with my dog. Especially when we go to the island and I let her off leash down the trails. I walk a pretty good distance but not fast.

I love boot camps, HIIT, and any other weightlifting. I have to be told what to do. I can't do it on my own or I'll slack off or halfa$$ it. So I go to a small gym that's filled with women trainers who have the WOD up and ready for me. I love it!!

I like to go running, but I am on the Sloth Running Team. I don't go fast :o But I did run a Half Marathon last year, Some 10k's (1/4 marathons) and some 5k's. I hope I can run a full marathon in the future.
And I go to the gym for some cardio fitness.
But I haven't been sportive these past few months. Not much time and I had some health issues. But I'm planning to pick it up as soon as I can.

At the Gym I take Zumba and Spin classes pretty regularly. Sometimes I take the Barre class and I do HIIT workouts 2-3 times/week.

Kjersti 06-01-2017 06:06 PM

I'm boring - treadmill 60 minutes every day!

This sounds fun! It sounds easier to "fake it" if you don't know what you're doing (which I don't!).

I like circuit classes. I go to bootcamp 3 times a week. Two of the classes are circuits (different every time) and one is boxing. I like the boxing too.

jak 06-02-2017 01:38 AM

Swimming. I swim a kilometre a couple of times a week. And walking.

Saar 06-02-2017 02:14 AM

I try to go roller blading every day (when the weather allows it) for 1 hour to 1,5 hours.

tjscraps 06-02-2017 12:49 PM

Exercise? What's that??

[emoji23]

I like going for walks, and chasing after kids ... I really dislike exercising in groups - I get really red in the face and embarassed

I love my weekly zumba class at the gym, it's so much fun you forget you're working out. Also like jogging, yoga and good old squats, push ups and the likes as a smaller 20 min workout whenever I can sneak one in.

Right now I am in stuck in a run intervals on the treadmill phase. At my old gym, I did lots of classes and I loved them. Yoga/Pilates combo, high impact aerobics and core classes.

Sweeet 06-02-2017 10:55 PM

Zumba, Speed-Walking, HIIT and swimming. I used to do weightlifting but I got so burnt out...yea I was literally the "trophy" wife...ehh, now "ex-wife" ROFL!

This comment wins lol. Love it.

Me, I'm a broken runner. trying to start strength training to fix that.

Nixenkind 06-07-2017 09:19 AM

I love to ride my bike. I try to do 150 km a week, but everything over 100 is fine for me :).

LeeAndra 06-09-2017 12:11 AM

I went to a barre basics class this afternoon (my first time) with my sister. It was abt 1/3 barre work and 2/3 stretching + light yoga + floor work.

It's still not my favorite but I was glad to try it.

joelsgirl 06-09-2017 06:56 AM

You guys impress me. I hate exercising. It's been my number one goal for years now, but I cannot bring myself to do anything consistently. I need someone who is going to judge me for not showing up in order to actually do something, and I don't have anyone like that in my life. But even if I did, I still wouldn't like it.
