Sharing photos?

How do you all share your kids photos with close family?
Facebook? Email? Whatsapp? Google drive? others???

I do a combo of FB, whatsapp and email depending on who the photos are going to but it can be tedious and time consuming doing various uploads.(I take thousands of photos!) Is there any website where you can create a family album or something like that?

I put all my layouts on Facebook, and the odd other photo I want to share. No one but my husband and I wants to see 1000 photos of our kids. Even grandparents I'm sure, don't want to be flooded with every single photo we take. On facebook they can share the layouts they want, or comment, or just like them. No pressure. If they particularly want any of the photos/layouts, they'll ask and then I'll email it to them.

Here in New Zealand not everyone has unlimited data plans, so if I emailed them photos all the time, that would bite into their broadband data. Facebook is the way to go these days.

Lol should have been clearer, I don't send out the 1000s of pics I take but an edited down number of them :) although about half of the family would be overjoyed with the 1000s! My love of photos is certainly inherited :-)

I do love Facebook but am trying to take a back seat with it as I waste too much time on it. Not all family are on it or use it regularly and for those who want to print some pics FB quality is quite poor :/

I use Facebook mostly to keep in touch with family and friends. I have a blog that is pretty neglected but I use it to share stories and stuff with family and friends.

My mom and I also use picasa web albums and dropbox if she wants a full sized image to print out at her place.

I think you can make albums in Photobucket and share them that way.

I have a smugmug site where I back up and organize all my edited pictures. They are all full sized resolution and you can set them up to be downloadable, password protected, etc.

I even have scanned pictures of my great grandparents on there! It's awesome and relatively affordable for an online backup.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the responses, someone recommended Shutterfly to me. They have a family website option which looks like exactly what I want so will set aside a day to set it up!

I have a family WhatsApp group so we share photos there, and on FB too. I also use Google Drive if anyone wants the full sized images
