I think this is usually perfect for a back to school page or scrapping about kids' school activity or school work. There's a lot of ABC/123 papers on the school related kits, e.g., the Kindy Kid by Amanda Yi & Digilicious.
Or, you can do something like 123 go... maybe about starting something new or running a race. Just a thought :)

Hope that helps.

I finished an alphabet page I had started for my daughter, (as in A is for adorable, B is for beautiful... )

jennschultz 10-01-2016 03:30 PM

This may be a dumb question, but what is meant by dressing up/ dressing down or messy/clean. Does that mean scrap a page about both dressing up and down or dress your page up or down? Same goes for messy and clean. Do you mean scrap a page about both messy and clean? Or make your page messy or clean?

Now I think I'm confusing myself! LOL

Neverland Scraps 10-01-2016 04:08 PM

This is my first time doing Bingo here and I like Jenn, overthinking everything!

(1) What does "What is your world like right now?" Like can I scrap taking the kids to Home Depot today because that's my life, doing things with the kids? Or am I scrapping current events, news--all that boring stuff I'll never want to include in an album?

(2) I hate pumpkin/pumpkin spice. Am I allowed to scrap a layout using orange? Or do it HAVE to be a layout about pumpkin spice?

(3) Clip it Good-- are we talking clipping papers to the template or literal paper clips?

(4) Inspired by prints- are we talking tiny prints of photos or tiny patterns?

(5) All about me: the journey - what journey? What does this mean? Can I scrap about a road trip?

Uugh, SO many questions that my head is spinning. I'm so sorry for some of the questions that I have, I really am trying. I'm such a literalist that I've always been overwhelmed with challenge Bingo, which is why I've never done them, but I am driven by the chance of winning a GC!

Libby Pritchett 10-01-2016 11:33 PM

These challenges are TOTALLY open to interpretation. As long as you can justify in your mind how your page fits the challenge, it's totally fine with us. These challenges are supposed to inspire you. We aren't in the business of trying to disqualify people. :)

So using some of the examples above: messy/clean - You could do a literal page of a messy room vs a clean room (or messy/clean kid or whatever), or you could do something like half your page is messy and the other half is clean, or any other way you interpret the challenge is fine, too.

Same with pumpkin spice... if you don't like pumpkin spice, you don't HAVE to scrap about starbucks. LOL Scrap a trip to the pumpkin patch, the color orange, a general fall page using pumpkin elements.

Just take these prompts as a jumping off point and let them inspire you. I promise you, as long as there is a connection in some way to the prompt, it's TOTALLY fine.

jennschultz 10-02-2016 12:13 AM

Ahh, thanks for the reply, Libby. I've never done the challenges here before so wasn't sure how to interpret the challenges! Seems easy enough!

Libby Pritchett 10-02-2016 12:27 AM

So glad you're jumping in, Jenn! They're super fun and laid-back, so just enjoy yourself and make pages that you love!

Thank you so much! I was talking with my oldest this morning how I could scrap pumpkin spice and she was like "take me to Starbucks and I'll get one" Apparently she likes them, but I'm too cheap to Starbucks! :D But since time is of the essence, I'm not taking her to Starbucks for a drink, just for a layout. I like the idea of using orange. Now to see if I have any orange kits. I've never been to a pumpkin patch, maze thingy or anything like that before so no photos there. Hmmmm, That one does have me stumped as it's one of the last ones I need to scrap for Hard Bingo. And thank you for the easiness of the challenges. I've not done a challenge since the beginning of this year where I had to justify why I scrapped what I did for a specific challenge. It became rather challenging doing the challenges, which is why I never did another one or tried a Bingo Challenge here!

Neverland Scraps 10-03-2016 05:30 PM

Um, I confess....I don't know exactly what something means and think I might have done something wrong with my bingo card.

"Spin your scraplift of sugarbabe: seattlesheri"

What does that mean?
I just scraplifted her but I'm thinking there might be more to it?

Libby Pritchett 10-03-2016 07:06 PM

Hi Wendy!

A Spin-A-Lift is an old challenge that we've done around here for years. Basically, it's just like a regular scraplift except you flip it or rotate it somehow before you lift it.

BUT if you've already done your page as a straight-up lift, since you didn't know what that meant exactly, the challenge police aren't gonna come hunt you down. ;) Just consider it done and move on to the next challenge!

Oops!!! I wondered if I was supposed to do something else with that. I'm sorry. I did do my layout (it's already posted), but I promise I'll scraplift (and turn it) another layout after dinner!

Thank you for the quick response. I want to be fair and not cheat.

Can I ask one more question?

Robin said for basic bingo, to scrap five layouts, yet the example shows the middle as free. giving you only four layouts to scrap. Today as I was looking through the easy mode forum, people who used the free middle, had an extra layout and one lady even pointed to a fifth layout. Is that something that is necessary as the middle doesn't count--having a fifth layout? If it doesn't count, do you just do another block of the challenge card or can any SSD layout count as your fifth layout?

I'm only asking for next month, so I know all the rules. Hopefully this will be the last time you hear from me!

Libby Pritchett 10-03-2016 07:26 PM

That's correct. The middle square is only truly "free" if you are doing a blackout of the whole card. Otherwise, in order to get your 5th layout, you can choose any other prompt on the card and count it for your free space. :)

Hope that clears it up!

Neverland Scraps 11-02-2016 10:29 PM

How do we know what kits we have that are free with purchase (I believe it's number 17). I don't remember what is what in my files because let's face it, I have a horrible memory!

Or are you talking about SSD Store collabs?

aussiegirl 11-02-2016 10:34 PM

I have a question about the 2 free with Purchase kits. Is there a certain way to know if a kit you own was a free with purchase one? I tried searching in the store, but it only came up with the current free with purchase kit. There are a few kits that showed up since they have free with purchase items.

How do we figure this one out? Thanks! I'm attempting Bingo this month (I've tried in the past and failed, but I'm committed this time! I've already got a few pages done!)

aussiegirl 11-02-2016 10:34 PM

Oops! Great minds think alike Wendy! :)

nietis 11-02-2016 11:35 PM

Wendy and Dawn, one way (not necessarily the easiest way, I'd say...) to find out is to go through the SSD blog post about the featured designers and their FWP kits. Here is the link of the list of such posts: https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/i...ured-designer/
I hope it helps :)

I'm not sure if this is the quickest or easiest way but i had a look in my order history the ones with a $0 purchase price i got for free

(some were the little freebies i downloaded but it's pretty easy to tell by looking at the kits which were freebies and which were FWB, they're usually bigger)

Neverland Scraps 11-03-2016 10:55 AM

Thanks Sheryl and Tracey---I'll see what I can find with both options, what I have and got as part of the FWP.

aussiegirl 11-03-2016 02:47 PM

Thank you Tracy and Sherly...that was very helpful!

piccolina 11-04-2016 09:02 PM

This may have already been answered, but can we use retired product from Sweet Shoppe designers for the bingo challenges? I am getting ready to purchase several kits from the retirement sale and would love to use them for a few of the challenge squares.

Libby Pritchett 11-04-2016 09:14 PM

Yes! As long as the product is from a current SSD designer, you can use it for the challenges.

Kitartas 11-06-2016 10:47 PM

can i please have some help with the newspaper style layout?

The idea was to layer things on a page that have different textures. So maybe a burlap paper with a crinkled card stock, topped with a cluster of feathers, buttons, lace, etc - Plus you are open to interpreting it however you like. You could use a picture that shows layers of textures as well - a stack of different clothes or an outfit that is layered up for winter.

I hope that helps!

Hey Kitartas! One idea I had for this challenge was using overlays and gesso and things to create some textured background. Kind of like with Rachel's (Captivated Visions) Artified Templates like this (there are a bunch of these in the shop!)
https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/s...-overspill.jpg

OR recreating a background like these of hers:
https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/s...ageart-700.jpg

I hope that helped!! That was just my original plan when I saw that prompt!

In December challenges number 17 is scrap using a new to SSD designer, I guess Wendy P is kinda new, are there more?

Hi, girls, what's book blitz? Pulling a blank here. Thanks

lingovise 01-03-2017 07:33 PM

book blitz is open to your own interpretation.... but the spirit behind it is just to scrap about books! your love of books, a current book favorite, last book you read, books on your 'to be read' list, favorite author, favorite series, most reead book... etc. I'm going to scrap a page about all the books I read in 2016.

Hope that helps!

Saar 01-04-2017 01:12 AM

What does 'ticket stub' mean?

And does some have any ideas on what layout to make for the 'take a stand' prompt?

My son participated in a "100 Nights of Reading" challenge at school in 2016 and made it to 300 nights, so I'll be scrapping about that. :)

When I read ticket stubs I thought about movie/theatre tickets (although in Australia our tickets are usually scanned from our phones these days :p), or even the ticket stubs that can be included in kits, such as the red ones in the centre of my layout here: https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com...e-here&cat=500

As for the "Take a Stand" prompt, maybe you could pick a topic you are really passsionate about? Or an instance where you have shown a lot of resilience and/or stood up for something you believe was right?

Saar 01-04-2017 02:34 AM

Thank you so much Angie! That helps a lot! <3

We're going to see the new Star Wars movie this weekend, so I could take a photo of the tickets and scrap it.
I had no idea what the word 'stubs' meant in English.

Sherri Tierney 01-08-2017 03:56 PM

Scraplift Sunday on the blog? I see Sugarbabe Sunday. Is that what I'm looking for?

Saar 01-08-2017 04:08 PM

There's also a scraplift Sunday.
This is the one from December.
https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/i...t-sunday-1218/

I guess there will be one in January too.
