Question for Designers...

Do you get bothered when a scrapper messages you about a potential guest spot or CT spot? I know many only do annually or semi-annually calls but it's always made me curious on your thoughts.

Do you ever message a scrapper who you are loving for a spot on your team?

Thanks for the insight!

It never bothers me, although unless things line up perfectly it's very rare I have a spot open for them. They have to show that they love my products, and have to be the style of scrapper I'm drawn to and they have to have layouts I need in order to balance the team. Holding big CT calls is a lot of work, so I haven't had one in over a year. Lately I will keep an eye on a few people I've noticed from my gallery here or on FB and send out invites individually as I need an extra person.

2 of my CT members sent me a PM to ask for a spot, the others were either a call or personally asked to join by me. That means asking for a spot is about 10% successful (at least when it comes to my team). Haha. It can't hurt to ask if you feel like you're a good match.

Doesn't bother me either :)

It doesn't bother me, but 99.99% of the time it's going to be a no because I'm pretty set with my team.

Doesn't bother me either. I don't usually have a spot either, but I rarely hold calls. So, I like to keep a list of those who might be interested that I can look back on when a spot opens up.

And I totally message people out of the blue and invite them to join. I usually start them out as guests and then possibly turn that into a ft position if everything works out.
