12 x 12 Printer

Does anyone have a 12 x 12 printer? What make and model do you recommend? With all the pages I've been doing (and they're almost all digital), I think it would be a lot more cost effective if I printed them myself... assuming the quality is still good. Would love any feedback!

Mine is old now about 4 years but I have the Canon i9100 and it prints up to 13x19. It was a fantastic printer in it's prime, now it needs a new print head which I may go ahead and invest in since I have been very happy with the printer and I don't want to have to spend the $500 I originally paid for this one now.

I have the Espon 1400, which is a wide-format printer, but after printing about 10 of them and watching my ink cartridges go down quickly, I decided it's not cost effective to print them myself. It's cheaper to print them at Costco.

I have an HP 9800. It is a wide format printer. It's an injet, uses regular ink cartridges. I paid about $300 for it 3 years ago. It is very fast. The quality is pretty good. my husband also uses it to print off all of his work stuff. I love it very much. I would recommend it to a friend.

Heather, dear - if I may? how do you like how it prints on cardstock/heavyweight paper? does it play nice with Vista? thanks!

I have a Canon i9900 and I love it. It's wide format and has 8 separate ink cartridges. I think it prints beautifully. And it doesn't seem to be an ink hog. It prints well on cardstock - even the textured kind. I have not tried transparencies yet (but I will this weekend). I would absolutely recommend this to a friend. :)

Part of me REALLY wants a wide format.
The other part of me knows that my printer is only 3 years old and is perfectly fine.

Decisions, decisions :p

also consider just printing 8x8 because you can use a regular printer, any type of paper (not have to try to find something to fit a 12x12 layout), youll use less ink, need less room to store the albums. I know alot of people print 8x8 but design 12x12. The few layouts Ive printed I have printed them 8x8
