credits question

If you started out using a template but changed it way beyond recognition, do you still credit the template designer?

I do and I just say "heavily modified" or "slightly modified", etc.

ok, that's a good idea!

The template did help me get startet, so it doesn't feel right leaving it off the credits, but at the same time feels strange to have credited a template that looks nothing like my page.

I'll take you advice to add that it's modified. Thanks!

Yes, me too - mostly modified is my go to. A lot of times I modify to make two pages, but I always give my starting point. :)

Like Marie, I will usually put 'altered' in the credits, but if I totally change it, I will sometimes put 'inspired by' and then give credit... Just another option.
