Congratulations to the new "babes" and I know the feeling of not being chosen but honestly I think everyone that put themselves out there is a winner. Remember that without trying you never have an opportunity so by trying you are a winner. Don't give up trying and maybe one of the awesome designers at this store will give you an opportunity as a CT member.

You never knew when an opportunity may knock and by already putting yourselves out there; your foot is already in the door.

I am actually envious of all of you that tried because you have confidence in yourself and your scrapping.

This entire community is so talented and while I know those who didn't make it this time may be disappointed, I just wanted share something with you about my own SSD journey.

I applied to the SSD design time 4 times before I was accepted, and I was deeply disappointed each and every time I got that no because this was, and still is, my dream shop. While each no was hard to hear, in a weird way I am proud of them because I never gave up on that goal. When my time came, it was the culmination of 5 years of hard work, which made that long awaited "welcome home" from Robin that much sweeter.

If it's your dream/goal to be a Babe, keep on trying. You never know when it will be your time. <3

To anyone that applied and didn't make it. Try not to feel sad, trust me, I was CTing for like 12 SSD designers at one time years ago and got turned down to be a babe. Like 5 or 6 times I think. It took me 8 years to finally get a spot.

Just know that we love having you in this community! We love you guys! All of you.

Congratulations ladies!! That is awesome news. I'm sure you'll all do wonderful as sugar babes. I feel so sorry for Robin, that had to be such a hard job for her to narrow down the picks!! There were so many great scrappers nominated. ((HUGS)) to all those that didn't make it!! You are all still awesome!!

Congrats to the new Sugarbabes - I'm sure it was such a difficult decision to make given all the amazing talent here!

Congrats to all the new babes!! As a designer here it is a serious honor knowing I'm lucky enough to be a part of a team that so many dream about. I don't think any of us is immune to the rejection of these calls - I was a reject too <3 It is REALLY hard when there is so much talent and everyone is special in their own way. Please don't let this be something that kills a dream if it's something you really want. Think of all those actors who spend so much of their time being nominated and never ever winning an oscar, It never ever meant what they were doing wasn't good :)

I'm in a very similar situation to Lorie... took me three years of being turned down, BUT I did not give up. I took it as time to learn, grow, improve and try even harder. When I finally got accepted it actually took me a little while to believe it, even to this day.

Don't ever give up on your dreams, cos without them, there's nothing to aim for. You are all amazing at what you do, enjoy it, thrive on it and keep scrapping those memories in a most beautiful way. xx

To all who didn’t make it this time, never stop trying. I, too, tried a number of times to be a babe. Rejection hurts, but it helped to improve my skills and grow on my scrapping. [emoji3590]
Also, don’t forget that we didn’t start scrapbooking to just be a babe. We scrapbook to preserve memories and enjoy this creative hobby. Hugs!
