Can't get rid of me!

I've been quiet and I do apologize. I didn't think anyone would miss me just yet, but apparently someone missed me enough to send me a message!

http://www.relatably.com/m/img/thoug...s/53810396.jpg

You might have known that I had an emergency appendectomy early in January. The pathology report was shocking as it wasn't my appendix but endometriosis (that I had no idea I had!) suffocating my appendix and other internal organs. I've been awaiting a date for surgery to get a hysterectomy. I guess my baby days are officially over and makes sense why our little man took 9+ years to conceive an why we never could conceive after his birth! I've come to peace with the surgery, however my body has not appreciated the loss of space in my body and I've been in severe pain since my appendectomy! I can finally see the light at the end of the road--on Wednesday morning, I'll be having surgery which will help reduce this intense pain that I've been suffering the past almost 2 months. However I have 2-weeks of recovery and pain medication. I don't think I'll be online while I'm on that pain medication as I often say/do really strange things without any knowledge of doing so!

That is why you've seen my comments (and my scrapping) lacking, especially this last past week. I've been pretty miserable. Yesterday I barely left the sofa, floor (yup, I couldn't get up off the floor!) or bed--I feel better laying down. When I sit, it hurts so much. So I apologize for my lack of comments in the gallery. I could comment on my phone, but I'm not a phone person and hate dealing with typing (typo-typing) on my phone. I'm still here; I haven't left you all. Today, I'm trying to play catch-up of the few days of the birthday celebration that I've missed. Hopefully I can get a few of the days caught up so I'm not out of the running (although I'm sure many of you hope I am with my luck these past few months!) :D

This is the best that I can do for a meme today....

Please don't think you can get rid of me that easy....I will be back!

Kiana 02-24-2019 03:46 PM

HUGS Wendy. Sounds like a bummer of a week. I had my hysterectomy December 2017. Best Decision EVER!

Here's to the end of the road.

carrie1977 02-24-2019 04:43 PM

allyanne 02-24-2019 05:24 PM

Aw Wendy, I hope your surgery is a success and solves all these pain issues for you! I pray for a safe surgery and a swift recovery, and if we catch you making funny comments while under the influence of pain meds, we will never let you forget it!

Kidding, we will. But we might rub it in for a little while.
Best wishes and I hope everything goes well!

ellasspace 02-24-2019 05:34 PM

Hang in there Wendy, I hope they get things taken care of for you.

That's what I'm trying to avoid!! When I broke my leg in 2009, I made some strange comments. Thankfully Dawn was able to let me know via text that I could do some damage control. I'm going to try to be good this time around! :D

joelsgirl 02-24-2019 07:06 PM

That sounds awful! I'm so sorry your body is being a jerk. I hope the surgery makes everything better.

kelley 02-24-2019 07:24 PM

Gosh Wendy, I'm so sorry you are dealing with all of this!! I'll pray for a successful surgery, and that everything will be much better for you after that!

lorigaud 02-24-2019 07:52 PM

Oh wow Wendy.... sending you lots of healing thoughts. That doesn't sound like fun at all. Hopefully you can get some relief after this procedure!

Leablahblah 02-24-2019 07:53 PM

nietis 02-24-2019 09:37 PM

Hugs, Wendy! I too was wondering why you were so quiet, but I thought it's just because of weekend and you're having a family time. So sorry that you're in pain instead :(
Praying that the surgery will go smoothly and you'll be healing nicely. :)

LynnZant 02-24-2019 09:45 PM

Good luck with your surgery, and I hope you have a speedy recovery. Sorry about your pain, but at least you have a light at the end of the tunnel.

Get well quickly!

kendallt 02-26-2019 10:16 AM

Awww...Wendy, I had no idea you were going through all of that! Hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery that will leave you completely pain-free. We will miss your positive energy and gorgeous pages while you're away, but do take this time to focus on your recovery and feeling better. We'll be here ready to welcome you back with open arms the minute you feel up to it! :hugs:

TraceyM 02-26-2019 11:58 AM

I get where you are coming from way too much. A year ago December I had an emergency appendectomy. Everyone talks abut how they were up and going 3 days later. I was in severe pain for weeks and weeks after; docs said I was the rare exception. The hysterectomy surgery previously was way easier! So I hope your pain levels continue to go down as once they do it seems like you get better exponentially each day.

lovely1m 02-26-2019 03:46 PM

That sounds terrible. Hopefully they can stop the pain for you.

Gemma 02-26-2019 04:05 PM

Good luck with the surgery, Wendy. I look forward to your pages when you're feeling upto it!

LJSDesigns 02-26-2019 10:49 PM

Sorry you are in pain, but hoping the surgery helps and that you heal quickly! Take it easy and don't push yourself too hard.

MegCreations 02-26-2019 11:49 PM

I knew you'd be missed! Take care and best wishes for a full recovery!

monia13 02-27-2019 03:33 PM

So sorry to hear what you are going through. Good luck with the surgery and wishing you speedy recovery. I had one too few years back and honestly I do not miss my uterus. I was suffering from fibroids.

craftytam 02-27-2019 03:55 PM

Just a little update. Wendy is out of surgery and in recovery. She is doing well.

LynnZant 02-27-2019 04:04 PM

Thanks, Tammy. Good to know.

bcgal00 02-27-2019 04:13 PM

Yay...glad she got thru this hurdle and now on to recovery! Thx for the update.

Valgal 02-27-2019 07:57 PM

Gosh girl, I had no idea all that was going on! So sorry, but I'm glad to hear your surgery went well. Come back and update us soon!

aussiegirl 02-27-2019 09:38 PM

Wendy went home from the hospital today, rather than stay an extra day. Please continue to pray for her recovery!

Neverland Scraps 02-28-2019 09:49 AM

Thank you Dawn and Tammy!
My surgery went well. He said there was a lot of endo to remove. He took everything but all of the ovaries, he had to take some of them due to the endo on them. He took care of endo damage inside my bladder.

My surgery was bumped from 1pm to 5:30am. I came out and they said I could either go home or stay until this morning. I chose to go home, which is great because I got to see the younger kids, the oldest isn’t home due to a 72-hour hold so I was unable to see her. I came home and slept. One of my husband’s peope came with KFC last night for dinner for the family and made me homemade pea soup. I have no appetite but ate a few bites. I’ve been laying down since in a lot of pain, but it’s only for a few more weeks and it’s all over forever!

But yeah. I’m doing well and at home. Vicodin this time around isn’t making me loopy, which is good. Although my husband says sometimes I’m not making sense.
The only complication from my surgery is my bp is really low, like in the 70’s. As a result im dizzy. I had to have a shot to raise my bp and continue to check it to make sure it’s going back to the 90’s, which is normal for me. If it doesn’t by the weekend I’ll Have to get another round of medicine to increase my bp

Typing on my phone so I apologize for any typos.
But I’m alive, over with surgery and resting. Thank you all for prayers, well wishes and good thoughts. I appreciate it so very much!!

Thanks for the update Wendy and so glad the surgery went well.
It makes a world of difference when you have people around to help out. That was very thoughtful of your husband's friend to bring over dinner.

allyanne 02-28-2019 10:34 AM

I'm glad to hear that you are home and recovering. I hope you have a restful recovery and healing time. Hugs!

LynnZant 02-28-2019 11:04 AM

Hope your recovery goes smoothly.

nietis 02-28-2019 08:56 PM
