Error with IG Desktop Posting

For many months I was able to post to IG from my desktop following Wendy's instructions. This last month now I have had a glitch with it. I can post a LO to IG but can't hashtag or add product info. It says I can't post it. I've tried different browsers but still the message comes up. It's too time consuming to go into IG on my phone to do my LO posting so I am going to stay off IG until hopefully this gets resolved eventually.

Any ideas? This happening to anyone else?

I forgot posting from our computers was a thing!! I don't have any suggestions, but I will be watching this thread!

I don't have any suggestions either for you as I use a different app (Flume Pro) but I will add that IG is moody for me many times. I often close everything out, re-open and try again. If that doesn't work I look for updates to the app. They're constantly changing it on me! Anyway, I'm sure you tried all that so I hope someone has a better suggestion for you!

I gave up on posting from my computer a long time ago. Even though I could use hashtags, they didn't work like they were supposed to and my layouts weren't actually showing up under the hashtags. I wonder whether that was happening to other people, too... maybe they disabled the feature in an update? I hope you're able to figure it out and start posting again!

I use 'Web for Instagram' extension on my google chrome and so far it's always been fine for me. :)

Here is a quick short cut to post from your computer...

1. Go to your Instagram
2. Right-click your mouse and select "Inspect". A bunch of stuff with pop up on the bottom of the page....just ignore it for now.
3. Now go to the 'reload this page' icon next to the home button next to the address bar at the top of the page and click it.
4. Once the page reloads, click the "X" on the window that popped up on the bottom of your screen.
5. Now you should be able to upload your LOs just like a pic from your phone!

This is how I always upload my pages....hope it helps!

I haven't posted in months, but will be soon. I'm hoping I can get IG to play nice! :D

I use the desktop app Later to schedule to my insta page. Do it all in about half an hour and forget about it for the rest of the week. Can do hashtags and all.

This is what I use too when posting from my computer.

I have the Desktop fo IG app on Chrome but have never used the upload feature to post. I'll try it.

I'm going to have to look into this app because I wasn't able to tag my last set of LOs on my computer, so I had to do them on my phone!

Thx everyone, I’ll try some of the suggestions. What I’ve been doing is load LO on it from desktop and then go on phone to type in product info and hashtags. It’s so weird because my desktop posting worked just fine until about 3 wks ago.

I use "Downloader for Instagram + Upload", that's Chrome plug-in. You can easily from your computer add to Stories or profile, with hashtags and tags...

Wanted to add another option I've recently discovered called Buffer. It's free and allows you to use hashtags.
