Tomato Free Dinner Ideas - (HELP)

OK, so my baby has definite tomato problems. They give him serious raw bleeding bottom issues, gas, and a hurt stomach - even just a tiny bit of ketchup on a burger can set this off. He can't even take me eating something that had tomatoes in it, but that have been picked out.

Now the problem, a TON of our dinners had tomatoes in them as like big flavor components and I only have about a handful of non-tomato meal ideas. I *NEED* more easy non-expensive tomato free dinners. They don't even have to be organic or fancy, lol, they just need to not include tomatoes. I would just continue making the usual meals for the family and then making my own separate meals, but that just isn't doable with our grocery budget. Throw some ideas at me. We are all starting to get sick of the few dinner ideas I have.

tacos (everyone else can eat tomatoes while you go without)
meatloaf + side
fried chix + side
chicken 'n' rice (chicken in the crockpot with soup mix + rice)
roast, potatoes, & carrots in the crockpot
Shake 'n' Bake pork/chix/whatever + side
pasta in Alfredo sauce
tater tot casserole
quesadillas
most Asian dishes (I can't think of many that have tomatoes in them)
All-American Chicken (chicken in the oven with apple butter & shredded cheese on top)

HTH!

here's one that is pretty easy. I just cut up about 1.5 lbs of chicken breast and put it in a skillet with broccoli florets, onion, celery and chopped carrots then in a casserole dish, I put two cans of cream of chicken soup, one of the cans of water and a chicken bouillon cube (I actually don't use bouillon cubes, I use something called "better than bouillion but they're the same thing) and mix that together, then I add 2-3 cups of cooked rice and then the chicken/veggie mix. I cover it and bake it for 30 minutes on 450, take it out, add some cheese on top and put it back in until the cheese is melted. It's yummy!

My go-to for my picky eaters is chicken & dumplings -

I just do 5-6 (thawed) chicken breasts in the crockpot with cream of chicken soup (about 3 cans), some butter, some chicken broth, a chopped up onion, celery, some baby carrots, and a little parsley. Cook that all day, and then about an hour or so before we're ready to eat, I shred up the chicken with a fork. Then I take a can of Grands biscuits (I find the flaky layers work best) and cut each raw biscuit up into 9 pieces. Then I just drop the raw bits of dough on top of the chicken, put he lid back on, and let it cook on high for another 45 min - 1 hr.

I do a super easy Italian Chicken -- I use about 4-6 thawed chicken breasts either whole or cut up in a 13x9 baking dish and add Wish Bone Italian Dressing (or any other brand) over the top and bake at 400 degrees for about 30-45 mins or until done. When almost done, I take it out and add Provolone cheese on top of each chicken breasts or over the cutlets. I prefer mine really cheesy. And then stick it back in long enough to melt the cheese and add a side of cooked pasta and voila! It's rather yummy too!

I also do a Parmesan Crusted Chicken -- 4-5 thawed chicken breasts on a aluminium foil covered cookie sheet . Mix 1/4 cup mayo with 3 tbsp Parmesan cheese (though I double this mixture) and spoon and rub on each chicken breast. Then mix bread crumbs or I prefer to mash up some croutons and mix in some Italian spices (parsley, basil, oregano, thyme, etc.) Once the chicken is covered in the mayo mixture cover with the crouton/bread crumb mixture (I prefer a lot of crust so I use about half to 3/4 bag of croutons crushed or about 1 to 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs to cover the chicken. You can also mix some bread crumbs and croutons together for a even yummier crust. After the chicken is covered with the bread crumbs I stick it in a 450 degree oven for about 45 mins or until golden brown. I usually do broccoli & cheese and sweet baby carrots with this. This is the go to fav in my house. The mayo tenderizes the chicken so it will melt in your mouth!

Oh, poor baby. Hoping new diet makes everything better.

Just saw this today. We will leave out the pimentos and possibly the peppers or it might not get eaten here. Ok, this also includes me. ;)
