Designer Question: Pocket Cards

Hi All!

I have a question about pocket cards. I do my pocket cards in two sizes for each pack and I am wondering how useful our community members find that.

Do you like having the option of a card in the two sizes, 3x4 portrait and 4x6 landscape, or would you rather have the cards in one size, 3x4, but two orientations, portrait and landscape?

Would you rather have more cards, say 12 in one size than 10 in two sizes?

Seriously, just tell me how you use pocket cards and the best way to meet your needs.

I LOVE your cards SO MUCH! I'd love for you to make a non-themed, everyday pack to use in my PL albums. Though actually, now that I look at it, I mostly buy your "words" packs. For cards, I use both orientations, but mostly vertical 3x4 cards & horizontal 4x6 cards, so I'm not very helpful to your question. But your cards (and words) are pretty awesome. : )

I like to have them in both orientations. I often use them in non-pocket layouts to fill up photo spots or journal spots.

I agree with this.

I like both orientation and sizes as well.

I like having both sizes and orientations in a kit. I use cards in pocket pages, as journaling or my digital picture frame.

I like 3x4 in both orientations. The 4x6 seems a bit large to me.

I like to have both sizes but use 3x4 90% of the time.

I tend to use the 3x4 most and in both orientations. If I need it larger I will just resize.

I like 3x4 most, both orientations - also, having journaling cards without lines is awesome! :)

This! Journaling lines are hard for me. I can never get it to line up!

I love to have cards in both orientations, but different sizes doesn't matter as much to be. I can always make a card larger or smaller based on how or where I am using it on my layout.

I would rather have 10, but in both orientations, than 12 in just one orientation.

For me, the biggest benefit would be having both orientations. I'm less concerned about the aspect ratio/size.

Thanks for all the feedback. I feel like the ideal might be one size, 3x4, but in both orientations.

Sizes don't really matter to me because I can resize to make them fit where I need them, but orientation is very important to me..... I like having both options because I take a lot of photos in both ways so I typically choose my photos and then I fill in what's left on the pocket page with cards...... so sometimes I have blank spaces in portrait and sometimes it's landscape.

I like both options in 3x4. I think if it needs to be bigger then I could do that - I also use cards to make different Ellie’s like tags and such

ellasspace 11-03-2020 08:06 PM

I love both options also! It gives you so many more layout options and the ability to use photos of all directions!

Kiana 11-04-2020 07:14 AM

Yup ditto what most of them said. I like 3x4 in both orientations!

The only time I ever use cards it to extract the words and use as word art. I never, ever use cards.

mmbstaley 11-04-2020 11:58 AM

I like to have both orientations as I am typically using them to fill in spots on the page and having both gives more options to use them.
