So Excited!!

I just sent off my Scrap It Summer Weekend Getaway challenges and Scrap it Summer Shadow Box challenges to be printed in as 2 6x6 books.
The company I use has a 30% off coupon so with taxes and shipping it was $38 for both. I'm Canadian so I used Blacks. $12 for a standard 20 page book, 6x6 soft cover.

Now I wait. . . . . . .

How exciting! It's always so fun to get your pages printed and hold them in your hands!

Ponytails 09-12-2021 04:30 PM

Sweet! I've only printed up my weekly project pages. I get them printed into books each year. I've never actually printed any regular pages though. I really need to start!

Neverland Scraps 09-12-2021 04:31 PM

Oh that's awesome!!! I can't wait for you to get them in hand and be able to share them with us!! What an awesome way to do the challenges and get them printed for the house! I love that and am excited for you!

cherrygutz 09-12-2021 04:39 PM

iScrap 09-12-2021 07:35 PM

Best feeling! I hope you love the books!

Lidia G 09-12-2021 10:11 PM

That's awesome and a great keepsake! I love photo books and print my own in 8x8 format. I found a 50 page album book with plastic inserts at Michael's so I can fit 100 layouts in one album. I love flipping through them.

Amber Dixon 09-13-2021 12:57 AM

Awesome!! I love ordering prints!!

tanyiadeskins 09-13-2021 09:50 AM

Fun! I have all my books from 2013 to 2018. I just recently finished the last out from 2019 so I just need to whip up a cover! I bet you will love them :)

Kimberly27 09-13-2021 09:58 AM

So exciting. I need to order pages...I love, love getting printed 12x12s. It is so fun to see the pages in real life.

norton94 09-13-2021 10:06 AM

Oh that is so exciting! I'll be eager to hear your update when you get them! It will be nice having them in hand.

nesser1981 09-13-2021 10:09 AM

I just got my book for January - July 2021 all loaded and ready to print. Even after 15 years of doing digi, I still get excited when I get my printed books.

aussiegirl 09-13-2021 10:40 AM

How fun! I need to print more albums, but I also don't scrap chronological, my layouts are all over the place!

I've thought about doing random layouts in yearly albums, but I hardly ever scrap all the photos I have of a certain subject, so I feel I would print them, and then scrap 3 or 4 more layouts of something that should be in there. So, I only print trips!

bcgal00 09-13-2021 11:25 AM

That is exciting! Us Canadians have a hard time getting good pricing on books compared to the U.S. so it's great to hear you got such a good deal. I've never used Blacks, I'll have to look into that.

KristinCB 09-13-2021 11:35 AM

wow awesome deal! let us know how they turn out

Kimberly27 09-13-2021 03:30 PM

Dawn, I am all over the place with mine too. I print 12x12 pages from Persnickety and put them in a binder type album so if have pages that go in between it is easy to add them.

I sometimes do books for trips but not always.

Jaye, that's so exciting! I just ordered individual 12x12 prints of the last 80 pages I scrapped - I buy print credits from Persnickety Prints when they go on sale, so I wait until I've got a good number of pages ready before I order prints - and it was so much fun to hold them in my hands! I spent a couple days slowly sorting through them and filing them away in my Library of Memories binders, shuffling pages around and looking through them all again. There's something so lovely about having the finished, printed pages! I do hope you share your finished books with us - can't wait to see them!

joelsgirl 09-13-2021 08:22 PM

I'm impressed with all of you who completed all of the challenges this summer! How fun to have your layouts bound together in a book!

bumblebeee 09-14-2021 10:22 AM

I completely forgot that Black's was still around online. Growing up we always went to Black's to have photos printed, and even got some photos scanned by them. I will have to check them out.

I usually opt for PPs from persnickety prints as I can stock up on credits when they come on sale. I have to agree it is fun to get a large bundle. Last order I had over 200 pages and it was so much fun to go through them all.

I also don't scrap in order, but do keep a list of pages that will get printed so I have an idea what pages will be beside each other, and where I may need to add a page so that a double pager will line up

This is me, too. I really need to print a bunch of the pages I've uploaded to PP! If I don't do a big book from a trip or it's slow going getting it done, I'll throw my fave photos into a 6x6 Chatbook or instant book from Shutterfly so we can at least have a little something while the trip is still fresh in our memories.

I have used them a few times and have been very pleased with the colours and quality.

I have a couple of yearly books but it took me so long to do that there are 3 not even finished, lol. I don't scrap in order either and found that printing my challenge pages is a fun way to see what I did, sometimes there may be a similar or same photo but I'm ok with that.

I still need to finish (have 2 versions started because I can't commit) my book of my Ireland trip that was 4 years ago.
