Finished my Disney 2023 album!

So excited y'all, I've never scrapped a Disney vacation this fast.

I'm a little nervous to order from Mixbooks. I've never used them before. I've used presto photo previously viovio since 2009 to print my books. They still have the hardcover 8.5 x 8.5 size I need. Anyhow, I haven't purchased anything yet, but I thought I'd share. :)

Presto Photo is only offering soft covers in the 8.5 x8.5 now. :(

Disney 2023

I did make some template adjustments to hopefully help with things getting lost in the gutters of the books and I have a couple more adjustments I want to make based off how everything looks all put together.

Edit: Glad I posted this year and looked back through it, I see a couple things I need to fix on my Mexico page in Epcot.

It's beautiful!

Wow, it’s great!! I’m impressed and inspired—I still need to finish mine from 2016!

Love it!! Inspiration and push for me to get my trips done. I am working on 2020 but have 2014, 2016 Disneyland and 2 trips in 2021 as well as a universal. :)

Goodness! 😂 you’ll get there.

We go roughly every 5 years, makes it more manageable on the scrapping end. Our 2018 trip took me over a year to do. Totally outside the norm for me.

Really awesome album. I'm very impressed that you were able to get it all done. I have several Disney trips that need to be finished. I think one of the things I struggle with on Disney albums is how to organize them. My linear brain wants to organize by day, but my scrapping style prefers that I scrap by theme. It looks like you organized by park and area of that park. Did you explore only one park a day, or did you just scrap it that way? I'm curious how others go about this.

We only went to one park a day, except for our last day, we did 2 parks that day.

I did chronological to start with, but after that, I tried to keep it in a consistent chronological order, but then I did organize by area of the park after that.

For example the Dinoland USA, Mainstreet USA, some of the first set of castle photos, were from different times during the day. The Frontierland photos, the big group picture was way after we did Big Thunder Mountain, but I just wanted each two page spread to match as much as possible. Epcot a lot of those were different times throughout the day, just grouped together by area of the park.

The Disney Springs photos are from two different days.

I just hope when all is said and done my journaling makes sense. LOL!

Each night when we got home from the parks, I took a bath and made notes in the notes app while everyone else swam. LOL!

So I didn't forget anything.

What an amazing album!!

I have been lovin your Disney pages in the gallery! I have enjoyed watching you get the book created. Great pages and such a fun use of Megs collections.

Wonderful job on getting the book finished. We go so often that I can't keep up. Someday I am going to pick one trip and fully scrap it.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on getting it done and a bonus for it turning out so amazing!

shawnbear 03-28-2023 07:55 AM

WOW! Your book was amazing! I really enjoyed looking at it.

Saar 03-28-2023 08:17 AM

What an amazing book! You scrapped it beautifully.

nesser1981 03-28-2023 08:25 AM

Thanks everyone! I had a lot of fun putting it together and got a little obsessive about finishing it.

If anyone has a question about what I used for certain pages, I do have the credits all written down, even if they aren't in the gallery. Just let me know.

I'd say 90% of the kits are from Megs and all of the templates are Cindy's. Some may have modifications and some are pretty old that I've had in my stash forever.

I love the pages you did in Dino Land with my dinosaur scoop with Wendy - it turned out great even though it's not a "Disney" kit  I also agree- the BBQ pork mac & cheese at Flame Tree is the best!!! The page with Kiera's paver at Give Kids the World was extra special! <3 Well done!

nesser1981 03-28-2023 10:40 AM

Thank you! It worked perfectly!!

WOW! Such an amazing album, Vanessa! You've created it beautifully!

liriel 03-29-2023 07:23 AM

Fabulous book! I think I just scrap all of my trips randomly...someday I'll finish a whole trip and make a full album for it.

aussiegirl 03-29-2023 02:08 PM

Wow! It looks amazing! I am sooooo far behind on Disney albums! I still have our Cruise-2019, WDW-2020, Girls Trip- 2021, Disneyland- 2022, and one next month for a day. Maybe if we stopped doing Disney trips I would be able to catch up....nah!

Super impressed you finished your album so quickly after your trip! And yay for Give Kids the World! I will have to find those pages to see them up close! We volunteered there for a day in 2019 after our Cruise. It was an amazing experience and one we would definitely do again!

nesser1981 03-29-2023 06:24 PM

Thanks everyone!

This was our 4th trip with kids, so I think I have it down to a science, lol! But spreading them out sure makes it easier.

Although, it does make me wish everytime I get back I would have done a better job documenting those trips in high school and when we were did Tokyo Disneyland & Disney Sea a little better.
