Anyone watching?

I have to say, I don't like anyone. :( Now I know why I don't mind them bringing people back from prior shows. I'd give anything for a Malcolm right about now.

How annoying is the Brains tribe though? OMG, they are humiliating themselves! The guy left on there - Spencer - is the only one I might like a little. And then the girl cop on Brawns is the other one that doesn't bug me. We didn't get to know all of them, so maybe there will be others, but yeah, not a good start for me.

And so far, I can't find any spoilers. :crying:

Not a good start for me either and it recorded that instead of Idol last night so I'm even more annoyed. I deleted it from my record list. Probably not even going to watch it this season. Blood vs. Water last season hooked me instantly. Last night's episode didn't keep my attention at all.

Ha, I actually loved last night's episode because it was all newbies. It's fun watching them, for good or bad, try and figure out the game. I mean, I like Malcolm fine, but I'm SO over seeing the same people season after season after season.

One thing I did read, which I don't know if it's true or not, was that they cast the season before coming up with the brains/beauty/brawn twist and then shoe-horned the people they had into those tribes. So that might explain a little bit about why the brains tribe was clearly NOT that brainy. I mean, anyone who follows baseball would not have put David Samson in the "brains" tribe based off what he pulled in Miami.

I don't have a favorite yet, but I wasn't really pulling for anyone by the end of the last season either so I'm excited to see how this season shapes up!

Wow. Yeah. That "brains" tribe is a mess! Don't have much more to say about it all right now. Lol.

Ha - I'm not a huge Malcolm fan or anything, but he is the first one who came to mind. :)

I like a few returnees thrown in with newbies. I like that dynamic. I'll continue to watch because I watch with my boys. But I hope I like it better as it goes on!

I did watch last night for the first time since they robbed Russell of his title...I'm one of the few people who thought he should win....I have to agree that the brain tribe is a mess

I knew what you meant and really I could have put any returnees name in there and I'd feel the same. :) I like the all returnee seasons (Heroes vs Villians is still my fave season). I just don't care for when they add one random returnee to each tribe so I'm very glad they resisted the urge to do it this time. Plus, no Redemption Island makes me SO happy!

Oh my gosh, you and me BOTH!! I said that when both people got voted off the other night "I'm SO glad there is no Redemption Island!" I never, ever liked that twist. Hope to never see it again (but that's doubtful).

I was so pumped before this season started - I'm a bit of a geek so I thought the brains were going to rock it. SOOOO disappointing! They've made every dumb survivor move possible! LOL I'm switching tribes!! I do still like Spencer though too.

I finally got a chance to watch...they definitely could have done better with casting, but it's only the first episode and so it can still get better.

We are a few weeks in. What does everyone think?

I have not changed my initial impression - one of the worst seasons ever. Ugh. Spencer and LJ are the only ones I even remotely like. I'm trying to figure out who they are presenting as a winner and they are about the only 2. Which probably means nothing.

There are several people that they can't get rid of soon enough for me!

Yeah - I'm with you girls . . . not the best season. But, I'm also liking LJ and Spencer the best.

Also, that cop dude (can't remember his name). Even though he seems kind of like a jerk, I think he's playing pretty smart, if that can be said of anyone at this point. Lol.

I guess I'm weird because I'm liking this season for it's unpredictability even though I don't know that I like anyone personally. Boring to me is when every tribal council, the person who's voted out is the one you knew would be from the beginning of the episode so at least that hasn't happened this season.

Spencer is one of my least faves though outside of the beauty girls, haha.

So, any new thoughts? I think it's finally getting interesting!

I still like Spencer, although I was calling him all kinds of stupid last night for leaving that clue out where we KNEW someone would come across it. I like LJ, but they aren't showing him enough for him to be making it very far, I don't think.

I still can't figure out who I want to win. No one is just jumping out at me yet.

I still have a soft spot for LJ

*bump* WHAT HAPPENED? I think Tony messed up his game last night..he is gonna wish he had Trish next week if he doesn't win immunity.

Yep - he should have given his regular idol to Trish and saved the special one in case he needed it for himself.

I'm pulling for Spencer too. So far, he's beaten the odds. I'm really really tired of the other chick (can't remember her name right now), but she did a good job of mixing things up this week.

I really really hate Tony and am so glad he wasn't smart enough to give Trish one of his idols...because I am not that fond of her either. lol

I am pulling for Spencer; gotta love an underdog that keeps playing hard and looking for ways to stay in the game despite the odds.

Kass...I'd take her to the finals though..NOBODY will vote for her. May be why he got rid of Trish..guarantees him her vote probably no matter who he's next to. IF he's really in it to win though they shoulda voted Woo..shrug who knows lol

DEF rooting Spencer

i'm rooting for spencer now ... and i actually don't dislike tony because, IMHO, he is just really trying to play the game and isn't as obnoxious to me as russell hantz, for example. i'd be OK if either one of them won.

i met trish a few weeks ago - she is from my town. she was actually really, really nice and really pretty. she came over to one of my friend's house to see all the kids - she brought pictures of herself from the show and signed them for the girls and then told lots of stories. it was really interesting to meet her - so i was hoping she went further ;) if tony makes it all the way to the end i am SURE she voted for him because she said she still talks to him almost every day. she does not like Kass at all.

I can't figure Kass out - is she really delusional enough to think she can win? I get the feeling she's hoping her lawyer skills will help her out if she makes it to the end but I can't see anyone voting for her no matter what she says.

If Spencer wins immunity next week, the million is his. If not, Tony wins. I can't see the jury being bitter enough to give it to Kass or Woo. Trish maybe, which is why I think Tony was smart to vote her out. I mean people like Woo, but he really hasn't done anything game-play wise.

Soooo...thoughts on the finale?

I was happy with the winner but Blood vs Water again already? Ugh so not excited for that or the return of Redemption Island, even with an all new cast.

I haven't watched yet but will be back tonight with my opinion on it :)

Of those in the finale, I think the right person won, but it's not who I really wanted. :)

I thought the same thing about Blood vs. Water, Lynnette . . . again? so soon? But, maybe they'll bring Spencer back? Would anyone be as crazy as Malcolm was and do two seasons back to back like that?

They already said the next season will be all newbies again but there's a lot of rumors that season 30 will be an all-star season since 30 is such a big milestone.

In the end, the right person won, but it wasn't who I was rooting for. I think we need a show where Malcolm just survives on an island by himself ;)

I have to say that Spencer's speech about Tony swayed me as it obviously must have swayed the jury. There should have been a mention of that on the finale!

I was surprised to hear Jeff say this was one of the best seasons ever. Really?? I mean, I did finally get into it, but hated it for quite a while.

I hope to see Spencer back at some point. Not thrilled at Blood vs. Water again so soon and is there really going to be a RI again? I LOATHE that so much!! :p
