So proud of hubby...

My dh has an issue letting things go... he is sentimental, though he wouldn't let anyone else know that lol.

He had a stuffie collection of stuffed animals the girls and I have given him over the years and is has started over taking his closet. This year he is working on paring down and letting go. Soooo... I got him to agree to get rid of them all as long as I took pics of them and did a layout for him so he could remember them, too cute!

That's great!
That's one of the many reasons that makes scrapbooking so awesome :)

ClaudiKnits 01-15-2015 04:58 PM

oh that is soo great! What a wonderful idea! Can't wait to see the layouts ;-)

adi&co. 01-15-2015 06:53 PM

awwwww that's so sweet that he kept them

jacinda 01-15-2015 06:57 PM

Yay for progress! We're doing a clean out at our place too.

awwww! I'm the sentimental fool here. Dusty would throw things away so quickly if I weren't here!

Yep....this!

That's awesome!!! :) I am the sentimental one here. It's hard to let things go with memories and good times attached to them.

SeattleSheri 01-15-2015 10:08 PM

Tanyia, that is a great idea. I'm a lot like your DH in that regard, I'm terribly sentimental. It's extremely difficult for me to let go. Maybe I'll employ your tactic of taking pictures and then letting it go!

jk703 01-15-2015 10:43 PM

I think that was a great idea!

I'm not overly sentimental - a few pieces here and there. Mostly items that have a true family history or something that ties us to it... bigger stuff. (Think jewelery, art, furniture, frames, pictures, that sort of thing)

Valgal 01-15-2015 10:56 PM

Aww! And yet another benefit of scrapbooking... clutter control, lol!

kristijoy 01-16-2015 12:40 AM

Ah...what a sweetheart! My DH loves stuffies too! :)

LoriJ 01-16-2015 07:10 AM

That is awesome. I tend to be a bit of a pack rat too, I hate throwing things away. I sometimes watch an episode of Hoarders just to remind myself that If I keep everything I could end up like that! LOL! (I am not quite that bad yet! LOL!)

nietis 01-16-2015 08:01 AM

I'm a sentimental stuffs hoarder too, your idea is so great to use scrapbooking like that! Luckily I'm not so bad at it...

tanyiadeskins 01-16-2015 08:37 AM

I guess I am sort of sentimental...but only about really special things. I loved around a lot when I was little and learned to not really get attached to "things" as a result.

emmasmommy 01-16-2015 10:40 AM

that's SO sweet!!

I'm kind of sentimental about certain things... but have very little storage space these days. I photograph alot of stuff, especially all the artwork my kids brought/bring home from daycare, school, etc... I've kept most of it but won't be able to forever.
