Sugarbabe appreciation thread :)
 

So, since I am just getting back into scrapping, I feel like I need a lot of help, so to speak! But, I don't have a ton of time to look at a lot of different forums so I pretty much hang out here and browse one other store.

Anyway, I was just killing time and NOT cleaning up my kitchen (since dh ran out to pick up dinner and I'm tired *yawn*) and was once again checking out the gallery for inspiration, specifically looking at the Sugarbabe gallery.

There are really some super talented scrappers here, but once again I am blown away by the consistency of great layouts and the true skill and ability of the Sugarbabes. I know (hope!) it's fun for all of you, but I do realize that there is a lot of dedication and time put into consistently creating and putting yourself out there. So honestly I was surprised to see so many pages without comments- pages that I feel like "back in the day" at places like DST would have gotten lots of comments. (Maybe they still do at other big forums/galleries? I have no clue, I'm pretty limited in how much I get around.)

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to the Sugarbabes for all your inspirational pages, you really do give me (average scrapper) lots of ideas and inspiration. :) I feel bad you don't have more comments in the gallery (though maybe y'all don't care, who knows!) but wanted to let you know that I think you're doing a great job, and that I do think that y'all make this a "sweet" place to hang out! :wub:

Hope this makes sense, I really am tired and a bit spacey right now. :) I also love the current mix of the Sugarbabes- I feel like I've known of some of y'all since I first started scrapping about 6-7 years ago, but it's great to see some new faces and new styles (Tronesia is new face to me, am loving her pages in the gallery right now!)

But, it wouldn't be such an awesome site if it weren't for the amazing community of scrappers that hang out here. I get a lot of inspiration from all of YOU!! :wub::wub:

It really is an honour to be a babe, and a lot of love goes into every layout. While it's lovely to get comments on my pages, as long as I can see people have viewed them then it's all good. If I can convince someone to buy a kit, or inspire them in some way to scrap, then my job is done.

I agree with Lydia in that it's the members that really make this place special. This is such a great community.:wub:

Thanks for the appreciation! being a babe has been such an honor... this is the best place to be! But. I really don't feel like anything special... Or anything MORE special than anyone else here. I mean that in the best way. Lol! I'm ok if my pages don't get comments. I love them, I do, but I don't expect every page I make to get a round of applause. ;) I mean, what I loved most about this place from the first moment I joined the forum is that as a newbie I got the most fantastic, thoughtful comments from the people here... And the designers! It's not all about being a SugarBabe there are so many talented people here, I like it that we spread the love around. :D

I totally agree! Anytime you want your socks knocked off, all ya have to do is check out the sugarbabe gallery. And of course the sneak peek threads always have me droolin with all the awesomeness :)

OK, glad no one thought this thread was weird! LOL I feel a bit random lately. Maybe it's just December. I can't even remember what day it is and keep going off on tangents (both IRL and online!) :p

I agree the SugarBabes are pretty amazing. And Elizabeth I have to say you are not weird or spacey at all cuz I read the title of this post as "sugarbabe application thread" and as I am reading it I am like thinking huh where is she going with this...then I realized OH Appreciation!!! hahahah my bad. Thanks for the love!!! This place is so wonderful. The Designers, the customers and all the Babes together. It's such a joy to come here and hang out. It's nice to know that all our different styles and ideas inspire you to scrap your family memories!!!
