I try and write these prompts with broad themes/concepts in mind and think that personal interpretation is key. You can certainly approach a prompt literally, or I encourage you to think about it in a different way ... take a creative approach on ways to apply prompts so that they'll work for your family. Here's a bit of extra information on a few of this month's challenges to help you get started :

#2: Participate in the SSD Blog Scraplift posted on May 6th...
On the first Sunday of each month, Sugarbabe Kim B. hosts a Scraplift challenge on the SSD Blog.
You have the entire month to play along and complete your page.

#4: May the 4th Be With You...
Get your geek on and celebrate all things that are Star Wars related that you/ your family loves...
OR if that's not your thing, simply have some celestial fun with star shapes, starry nights or star studded events instead.

#7: Scrap with any product from a May Featured Designer...
Scrap with any product that's by either Lorie or Cheri

#13: Pay it Forward - Leave Love on 15 Gallery Pages...
You leave love on 15 layouts in the gallery and then post the link to each in your tracker thread.
Use the place marker below to "hold" that spot on your card ♥
First, click on the image below ... then right click that image and save as a .png file.

#16: Scraplift - Bingo Challenge Thread...
Easy Peasy... just scraplift a page from the person who holds the spot above you in the May Bingo Challenge Thread. Example: #8 will scraplift a page from the gallery of the person holding the #7 spot, and so on. If you happen to be the first person to post - ie: #2, then you'll scraplift the last person to post in the April Bingo Challenge Thread

#17: Drm Handwritten Font...
Click on the image below to download the font and then use it on your page.

#18: Comics and Superheroes....
Scrap about a favorite comic book series or superhero [think graphic novels, books, movies, television shows]!
OR scrap about someone that makes you laugh... or someone you or a loved one admires or looks up to :D

#21: Unplugged...
Document how you or your family enjoys spending time off line and free of screens & electronics.

#22: Paper Challenge - 5 Different Shapes...
Use at least FIVE DIFFERENT paper cut shapes in your layout.

#23: Morning, Noon, or Night...
You can scrap about any one [or all three, or any combination] of these times of day...
OR you can use one of the upcoming FWP iNSD "Morning", "Noon", or "Night" SSD Collabs to scrap a page!!

Sorry, I haven't done this in a while - are retired products from current designers still allowed?

Cool thanks!

I'm sure this is dumb, but different on #22 means (for example)circle, square, triangle, oval, star right? Not 5 different circles?

Not dumb at all! Your example was correct!

Aspire not to HAVE more, but to BE more.

I would interpret this to be something you want to develop or learn that increases your knowledge, wisdom or experience (like a hobby, skill, personal characteristic etc). Something that is not material. I'd be inclined to use this quote as a journal prompt.

Examples:
Journal about your child (or yourself) working hard at school
Making progress in your career
Learning a new creative skill
Learning a new language
Journal about being more present with your family, more focused on what's important.
Journal about being kinder, more thoughtful of others.
Scrap about reaching your potential

thanks Jacinda, I was in the correct direction after all. Now to put my thinking cap on.

Ok I'm having issues and the longer I look the more aqua turns to blue and turquoise. Lol. So ...

This one. If you take the lighter blue elements, those are in the category of aqua :)

I love the prompt to scraplift the person above you in the thread. You should keep that one a regular.

Glad to know that you love that prompt, Lea! I'll let Loni knows about it :)

I could really use some inspiration for square 22 - paper challenge: 5 different shapes.
I don't use shapes very often, let alone 5 different ones!
How have you tackled this challenge??

Saar 05-23-2018 01:41 PM

Here's mine.
