New to the forum & can't wait to join in on the fun!

Is there a post somewhere for the "featured designers" each month? I am still learning names and honestly I don't know their "real" names yet.

Hey there!

You can keep an eye on our blog under the featured designer category here...

https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/i...ured-designer/

You can also see the latest featured designer FREEBIE offer on our homepage or under the Limited Time Offers section in the shoppe!

Hope it helps and welcome!!

Robin

monochromatic blue - can it also include some white or black accents by any chance?

Heather91 01-02-2016 12:16 AM

The challenge timeline, what does that mean exactly? You want us to make a timeline or a facebook timeline?? maybe I am missing something?

Saar 01-02-2016 04:46 AM

I'm a little stuck with timeline too...
Can it be something like scrapping your month of January? What you will be doing from Jan. 1st to Jan. 31st?

cherrygutz 01-02-2016 03:55 PM

New for 2016: Alternatively, you can scrap any two horizontal or vertical lines, or a combination of one of each...
What does this mean? Is this like on the Traditional Bingo but only double lines? Like, if I make a horizontal line on top and then I can also make a horizontal line at the bottom?

Libby Pritchett 01-02-2016 04:09 PM

Cherry, that's correct... 2 straight lines. It can be 2 horizontal, 2 vertical, or a horizontal and vertical together.

Regarding the timeline prompt, I don't have the official word, BUT I know we've always made these prompts open to your own interpretation for the most part. So, if you want to scrap a timeline of events (past or present) that would be just fine.

Jennifer, in the past, with monochromatic prompts, we've always allowed the addition of black or white, so I'm sure that would be fine!

Saar 01-02-2016 04:56 PM

Thank you Libby!

Can I just clarify, the current featured designer freebie is My Time To Shine by Meghan Mullens?

Yep! There will be new freebies that will be available on the 12th and 26th too if you want to wait and use one of those too!

clucaswvu04 01-03-2016 03:51 PM

I have a question about the today, tomorrow and/or yesterday...is it one that is open to a little interpretation. I'm playing catch-up for 2015 and am working on pictures from when we cleaned out my grandma's garage - lots of yesterday stuff and then how it ended up in the end, is something like that considered in the heart of the challenge?

Libby Pritchett 01-03-2016 04:09 PM

I think sounds perfect, Cheryl! Welcome to SSD! :)

cherrygutz 01-05-2016 11:22 AM

Thanks Libby!

You could scrap something you do in the morning or at noon or at night. You could scrap a photo taken at night. You could scrap food you eat at Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Just pick one time of day and use that as your focus of the page. Or combine all three and show something you do Morning, Noon and Night. Hope that helps.

Heather91 01-08-2016 03:02 AM

I have another question, for the featured designer I thought it meant her freebie in the 2015 samples. I already did that particular LO would that be ok? It's still a freebie really.

Heather91 01-08-2016 03:03 AM

Also thanks for the replies, that helps a lot in getting this done :) I got so many LO's done last month. :)

mocamom 01-08-2016 05:33 PM

I'm new here so thank you for a place to ask questions. You can't imagine how nice that feels to know where to go for answers :)

Hey Heather,

We definitely intended for it to be one of the current month's featured designer Free with Purchase kits, but since we didn't specify that and I can see how it can be misread, we'll count it for ya for sure and will clarify on our end in the future!

Thanks so much for asking!

R

Are the December BINGO coupon codes emailed or PM'd to us? Wondered when to expect them ... (I am ready to start filling up January's BINGO card! (hopefully I didn't do something wrong and end up not eligible!) TIA.

Sweet Rewards are sent out for the second full M-F of each month, so in this case, you should see them this weekend sometime for use next week :)

Great, thank you for the clarification Robin!!!

Disneysheryl 01-09-2016 10:51 PM

Hi, I'm new and starting to work on Bingo. I understand about keeping track on my card, but do we post layouts in the gallery too?

stowell14 01-15-2016 11:55 PM

Do the layouts count if they are made with retired products? I have a few kits that I know used to be here, but they aren't anymore, so I'm assuming they retried. :)

castangs 01-17-2016 01:57 PM

And a follow up on the retired products question... retired products from current designers only? What about Sweet Shoppe products from retired designers (I have some favs that have been retired for a while now but wanted to ask before using them)?

Thanks!

Libby Pritchett 01-17-2016 02:10 PM

Hi ladies! So glad to see that so many of you are playing along!

Any product by CURRENT ssd designers is acceptable. This includes retired product, freebies, or things you may have picked up at other stores. As long as it is designed by a current designer, that's completely fine.

Product from designers who no longer sell here (even if it was a product that was once available here) does not count.

Yes! We'd love to be able to see your layouts closer!:wub::wub:

I have question regarding the photo challenge spot: Is it intended to be a photo taken for the challenge, or is scrapping an existing panoramic photo ok? (My photo I have in mind is clearly not taken any time during January, lol.)

Is it for the panoramic photo one? I'm pretty sure as long as you scrap a panoramic photo, it doesn't matter when you took the photo.

Yes, for that one. Thanks! :)

littlekiwi 01-22-2016 08:59 PM

Is there any chance we could get the Jan bingo card uploaded to the facebook group so we can work on the challenges while the site is down?

clucaswvu04 01-23-2016 10:36 AM

I have another question (sorry for the multiple questions!) I just finished (yay!) but just uploaded the bingo card, do I need to upload the individual layouts as well in my member gallery. The Bingo card just seemed hard to see the layouts well - which I wasn't sure if that was a problem or not, I'm happy to upload the individual layouts if they need uploaded as well somewhere but didn't want to overwhelm the board/gallery either if it wasn't necessary. Thank you guys so much for all your help and the challenge!

anelia 01-23-2016 02:16 PM

Cheryl, I hope this answers your question :) Bingo players, like me and other girls, we do upload our layouts throughout the month as we do them.

clucaswvu04 01-23-2016 03:39 PM

Thanks! I will work on getting them resized again :) I didn't save the resize once I had them on the card but should be an easy thing to get done again and uploaded I think

Jenn, right click on the image and save it to your computer. That's the best way. I have a copy sitting on my desktop so I don't have to go online to check out the challenges.

littlekiwi 01-23-2016 08:14 PM

Thanks Jacinda - didn't even think of that.

One question please -- will we be able to upload our cards after the launch of the new site because I'm not finished with mine yet.

Libby Pritchett 01-24-2016 01:32 PM

Yes! There will still be time to load card after the site comes back up. We're planning on being back on live next Friday night (1/29) at around midnight EST.

anelia 01-24-2016 04:38 PM

Thanks a lot, Libby! This is what I thought but wanted to make sure.

icindi 01-30-2016 05:06 PM

Where do we post the layout that we scrap lifted? Or do we need to?
Thanks

julifish 01-30-2016 05:21 PM

For your scraplift page just make sure you give credit in the gallery and say which layout and who you lifted. :)

rach3975 01-31-2016 11:20 PM

We have until tomorrow night to upload LOs for the January Bingo Challenge, right? Will the deadline be extended at all this time because of the downtime? I know the gallery came back up this afternoon, but I probably won't have time to get all of my layouts posted until late tomorrow.

Libby Pritchett 01-31-2016 11:49 PM

Yes, Robin mentioned that we'd give you guys a couple of extra days this month because of the craziness with the downtime.

I'll be selecting winners on Friday, so I'd say that if you have everything posted by Thursday night at midnight EST, you should be fine. That's 3 extra days. :)

Robin Carlton 02-01-2016 12:56 AM

That sounds great to me too Libby!

About February prompt #23 - teeny tiny alphas -- how should I interpret this? I'm not sure I get it.
