We're all moved!

Finally! It was so stressful and I'm so glad we're done with the moving part at least. We've still got some of the improvements and general repairs to go, and I can't even with how dirty the previous tenant (a relative, but which one shall go untold) left the place and how much disrepair they left it in and how much I have now to clean, spackle, scrub, perhaps burn (lol)...but guys, it's finally OURS!

It's not much yet but here's a mini tour of the place - House. All I have near to completion right now is my living room and kitchen/dining room, they were the easiest rooms to do and will require the least work as far as repairs and stuff. The upstairs bathroom is done too but I'm sure no one cares to see that lol. We are currently working on patching walls and getting ready to do the painting upstairs, hopefully by the weekend after next the bathroom and living room will be done. The unfinished pictures are mostly the basement - one side will be our gaming and family area and the other will be my huge craft area! Also, enjoy the photos of my lazy cats enjoying the new house after their first night (freaking out entirely), and the copious amount of photos of my fall and Halloween decorations. I kinda went all out, I've never really gotten to decorate like this before lol.

I've been so busy and also trying to save money for the move and the home improvements, that I haven't gotten to check the new releases for the past 3 weeks. Also been so busy this past weekend I didn't get to take part in any of the DSD stuff. Any freebies still available that I should check out? I'm hoping that now a lot of the busy work is mostly done, and between the rest of the stuff I can take more downtime for myself and get back to crafting and scrapbooking. Gotta go check out the new Passport now too!

It really does! Renting has this effect that you never really feel like it's "your" home, plus you never feel privacy because they can come in any time they feel like they need to. I have an anxiety disorder and thought the daily minimum anxiety was just part of it, but so far my anxiety has been going way down. I'm sure it'll go back up a bit once the "new home" feeling wears off but I'm enjoying the little vacation for now!

Congratulations on your new home! It's coming along nicely. I totally understand wanting to have everything done, but give yourself time and don't stress. I'm glad your anxiety level is going down! That's a really nice side benefit!
