Libby Pritchett 03-31-2013 02:48 AM

Awwww I don't really have anything else to add, but I'm so glad that you have a diagnosis! *HUGS*

jacinda 03-31-2013 03:55 AM

Onwards and upwards from here Angie. So glad you have a diagnosis to work with now.

mariewilcox 03-31-2013 08:24 AM

I didn't want to read and run Angie - :hugs: to you and I'm glad you have a diagnosis to build on. A good friend of mine wondered for several years how to help her daughter and she was finally diagnosed with Asperger's about the same age as Peyton (kindergarten). She's now in 5th grade and is such a different child than she was 4 years ago - very much for the better!

Txcorey 03-31-2013 08:51 AM

Hugs. At least you know what you are dealing with now and can do what you need to help him. Hang in there.

isaacsmom 03-31-2013 09:16 AM

((hugs)) So glad you have a diagnosis and can works towards getting him (and your family) the things that will help him the most.

LJSDesigns 03-31-2013 09:17 AM

Hugs from me as well Angie. Bless you all as you begin your journey to a healthier Peyton. That little man has had my sympathy, my prayers and my heart since you started sharing his struggles with us.

d2vasquez 03-31-2013 09:26 AM

Not knowing what is wrong with your child or loved one is always hard so I am happy that you have a diagnosis that now can lead you on a path to know what to do for him.

abm234 03-31-2013 10:38 AM

I hope this will open up lots of resources to him!

SeattleSheri 03-31-2013 10:59 AM

carriesmom 03-31-2013 12:02 PM

Happy you have the diagnosis officially and now can work on support and services.

glumirk 03-31-2013 03:17 PM

Oh yay! I'm grateful that you've been sharing this journey, because I just have this feeling about my 3 yo that he will be getting that diagnosis one day. Good luck getting him onto his own track so that he can learn and grow and succeed.

rach3975 03-31-2013 04:17 PM

((Hugs)) I'm glad you have the official diagnosis; that will help connect him with the right services in and out of school. Every time Ben has gotten a new diagnosis people ask how we're doing/coping with it. Usually we're relieved at the diagnosis, seeing it as official confirmation of something we already knew and knowing it will help us help him.

newfiemountiewife 03-31-2013 04:30 PM

I had so many mixed feelings when Rachael was diagnosed with Autism, but the greatest thing is that she was able to avail of the extra services the school had to offer. I know it is good to know what is happening and now you can hopefully access some more strategies to help him. ((hugs))

lingovise 03-31-2013 04:36 PM

hopefully the diagnosis will make getting him & your family the help and support that you all need a whole lot easier ♥ bighugs!

xboxmom 04-01-2013 01:00 AM

So gald you know for 100% what is going on Angie. Such a relief in some ways. Lots of work ahead for both of you though. Hugs!

YepBrook 04-01-2013 09:45 AM

Hugs to you Angie! I'm so glad you have answers and can go from here knowing exactly what the problem is. :)

nun69 04-01-2013 12:52 PM

I  you guys and I know we are on a long road, but the earlier we get him some intervention the better he will be and luckily I have a BF who's son was DX at 11 with Asperger's and is now 16 so I have a local sounding baord that so far has been amazing@!

Keely~B 04-01-2013 02:25 PM

Hugs and good luck Angie. Now you can move forward, sending good thoughts your way.

heathergw 04-01-2013 02:41 PM

(((hugs))) so happy you have some answers and can move forward

joelsgirl 04-01-2013 08:18 PM

I'm glad you have the right diagnosis and are making peace with it. A really good friend of mine has helped her autistic son because an amazing young man because she worked really hard doing interventions and making adjustments in their lifestyle for his good. I've seen how you've been fighting for him already, and I know that Peyton is in good hands!

jk703 04-01-2013 08:23 PM

Knowing is half of the work! Positive thoughts for the future! :)
