QOTD 09/08 Bachelor(ette) party

What do you think about Bachelor(ette) parties?
Tell me what your thoughts are...

I'm pretty nervous about it... I know some of the soccer moms we invited for that day are organizing one for August 30 and since 2 of the moms are pretty extraverte meanwhile i'm very in the middle of extraverte and intraverte. So first thing coming up in my mind after hearing this was oh god what are they up to with me...

Next to that they organized it without any of my 2 sister who were pretty dissapointed when they heard from my almost husband. But after the the both groups of ladies talked with eachother i heard i will have another party from my sisters and sister in law...

So.... I have 2 bachelorette parties to go and no clue what to expect lol... makes me little nervous but also in a mood for a girls party...

I didn't have one. I've gone to two where we just went out drinking and dancing, but that was over 20 years ago. Let us know how they go because I have no idea what people do nowadays.

I've been to quite a few & most were just a girls night sort of thing- but there have been a couple that weren't my cup of tea! ;) for mine (also a long time ago) we just did dinner & some club hopping & it was perfect. Fingers crossed yours is what you hope for too!

My bachelorette party consisted of me, my best friend, and her two sisters having a sleepover and playing guitar hero. It was exactly what I needed and was perfect for me. The typical party isn’t my thing at all

I've been to some that were really low key and relaxing, more hanging out, having some drinks and chatting....and I've been to some that were crazy LOL.

You could let them know what might interest you, something low key, something a lot busier, louder and fun with lots of games and silliness, or just go with withever they plan. You'll have 2 parties so they are bound to be different and will give you 2 different kind of memories of your bachelorette party time. Have fun!

I dont like the dress up with strange clothes
And that the make you try to sell things, or ask
Kisses from strangers, and drink a lot.
I would like a nice ladiesnight with some friends

I hope they keep in mind WHO they are organizing it for. It has to be fun for YOU.
Hope you'll have a great time Wendy.

I've been to a couple. One was extremely raunchy and I had to leave before it was over (it got a little out of hand). The other wasn't quite as bad, and was a lot of fun.
I really hope they take your wishes into account before they decide on the schedule, and I hope you have a wonderful time!

Been to a few way back 20+ years... drinking, dancing...
Lots of friends n family do the whole stripper thing... not really my style. Same with my hubby.

Hubby and I wanted ours together with family and friends, so we all had a nice dinner out, then went drinking and dancing. It was a great night.

In my early and mid-20s, the bachelorette parties I went to were going out clubbing & dancing & drinking. My sister's was much more tame -- we got our nails done, went to a restaurant for dinner, & then to a cocktail bar for a drink. We were done by 9:30 pm much to her bridesmaids' dismay! :D

She will actually be getting (re)married sometime next year so I will have to ask her if she wants to have one again. If she wanted one, I would imagine she'd want to go to a big city and shop all day or stay in and watch movies and have snacks and gossip.

My family isn't big on the typical bachelor/ette type parties and I'm glad. That's just not our style. For my own party we had a joint party where the girls played games (like bridal shower type games, talked, ate sweets etc) and the guys went out trap shooting at our local range. Afterwards we all reconvened at my parents house where we had a big ole' bbq and lit off fireworks. It was more like a Memorial Day or 4th of July party but it was exactly what we wanted.

I hope your party(ies!) go smoothly and you have a lot of fun Wendy, whatever you guys end up doing!

Ok i ended up just having one fun party!
The one i was most i afraid was canceled because Willem his dad passed away 2 weeks ago and it was too short after it. But since he insisted to continue everything, all other things planned still went like it was planned, but i didn;t knew when or how or where so....

Yesterday my sister came to help me to do create all the thank you gifts and other decorations for friday but i had no clue my other sister, SIL and mom where out on the parking place too, so suddenly he blue they were stanidng in the living room to kidnapp me lol. Only think i was bummed with was that i didn't thought of adding some make up, but oh well. It really was fun!
First without saying what we were going to do they drove us to the other side of the city to do a workshop Throwing paint on canvas. that was really fun. And after than we went to a tapas bar, wich was little funny because early this week i told Willem i wanted to go with him to a tapas bar somewhere in future...

Anyway that was it, because my mom was getting tired and since we didn't wanted to do anything else without her so it was a really fun and yummie 6 hours

Now really looking forward to friday

Looks like a blast, Wendy!

I was pregnant so I was pretty much the sober driver at my bachelorette party. haha!

I've been to many though. Some were pretty tame and some were pretty chaotic. I just don't do strippers. Not my thing. I will remove myself if any show up.
