What were the challenges before Bingo?
 

I'm new to SSD so Bingo has been around as long as I have been here, I never even considered that bingo was a new challenge until the newsletter announced that it would be replaced by something else.

Just for the sake of curiosity I was wondering what the old challenges were? I was just searching some old threads for something and saw reference to a portfolio and SR points - are they part of the old challenges?

I know that one year we had "think outside the box" challenges. One challenge each week where you had to think outside the box.

Portfolio & SR points was one of the old challenge systems that I remember taking part of! We were given a set of prompts & were to create our own month portfolios filled with our scrap pages inspired by the prompts.
Very similar to Bingo, but different concept, in a way ;)

I loved the think outside the box challenge!

this is funny. I've never done the bingo because I always thought I had to use/post a visual of the bingo card (waiting for an answer to that question to see if I still do), and found that thought daunting. So I just never participated. This was the first month I did! hahaha

I just read the newsletter, and I'm excited to see what's new :)

I can't remember what the challenges were like before Bingo. I remember being frustrated with the Bingo challenge because I overthought it and couldn't figure it out. It took me months to figure it out. With the encouragement of the community, I finally understood it and ran with it!

But before Bingo...I can't remember. It's funny how that happens.
