I need something new to read!!

Hey y'all, I am in a rut and can'f choose any books that keep my interest lately. I've returned 3 DNF books to the library and have one due in a few days that I can't get into. It's the first Illuminae book. Everyone says it's such a good series too. I just don't know whats wrong with me.

What have you read lately that is good? I like stuff you'd get from Book of the Month, or Owlcrate box. Most of what ya'll seem to enjoy is what I like too!

Thanks!

Have you read the Ruth Galloway series from Elly Griffiths? It's an English fuff-soft-mystery vibe (not super scary) easy to read, a little clean romance mixed in, police/detective work, and archeology. I binged the whole series it was so awesome. Now I'm caught up and read her new one every year.

Another one I'm LOVING is the Cormoran Strike series by Robert Gallbraith (JK Rowling's pen name for her super-not-for-kids series). Much more graphic and gritty police/detective work, compelling romance & work partner relationship interest. There's also an HBO series you can watch on Amazon Prime once you finish the first 4 books (I believe). I just picked up the latest book from hold at my library. It's a massive brick. I'm so excited to read it. Her writing is so good and heavy... immersive.

I'm currently reading The Seven Day Switch by Betty Harms. It was a free Kindle Book on Amazon for November. I think it's still free.

This si the best book I've read in ages! I started it on our drive home from vacation, and, once we got home, I put in my headphones and told the fam not to talk to me until I'd finished the book.

It's about a mom who is waiting up for her son to get home, and as she watches out the window, he kills a man. Then she wakes up in a time loop going back into the past to solve the murder. There are so many twists and turns, and the end is so satisfying.

I got Leave the World Behind in a book of the month box a while back, and it felt like one of those that I didn't see a lot of people pick, so whenever I see someone talk about how they like BOTM picks, I always ask if they've read that one! Highly recommended if you're okay with a very unsettling slice-of-life read. It's a little slower to get started but it will make your skin crawl. Better if you're a fan of thrillers though!

I got Menacing Angels: That Night. It is a great thriller book. set on the old times. The author Carolyn S Tanner did great storytelling which hooked you till the end of the book. You should give it a read it will be available on Amazon.
