What is your absolute favorite main dish?

What is your absolute favorite main dish?

Mine is etouffee, I just love it!!! In fact, I'm making shrimp and langostino tail etouffee right now, so it's what inspired this thread!

NeverendingJen 08-25-2013 09:55 PM

chicken parmigiana.

catgoddess 08-25-2013 10:00 PM

Butter chicken. Yummy!

SeattleSheri 08-25-2013 10:01 PM

I love chicken parm and butter chicken too! ... definitely in my top 10!

carriesmom 08-25-2013 10:02 PM

Pasta in a garlic cream sauce with chicken.

lingovise 08-25-2013 10:35 PM

almost any good Vegetarian Lasagna will win me over... right now we're loving the Raise the Roof Sweet Potato version... nom!

Sarah8914 08-25-2013 10:39 PM

right now, mango and black bean quesadillas

carrie1977 08-25-2013 11:04 PM

Any type of Mexican food...enchiladas, burritos, chile verde, nachos....especially if a margarita is involved. :D

YepBrook 08-25-2013 11:14 PM

Mmmmm... This is a tricky one. I happen to love all kinds of food! :) I get on a 'kick' and will eat something until I'm tired of it. Right now it's a tie between sushi and loaded beef fajitas.

jacinda 08-25-2013 11:16 PM

Pretty much anything I haven't cooked myself. ;D

mariewilcox 08-25-2013 11:17 PM

Hmmm, right now in the summer it's black bean cakes with mango salsa.

In the winter it would have to be butternut squash ravioli with maple cream sauce

~Cindy~ 08-25-2013 11:45 PM

Anything I don't have to cook or clean up :D

nun69 08-26-2013 12:53 AM

This! I think I could eat Mexican every day and not get bored. Enchiladas are my favorite.

I love mexican food too!

For purposes of this, just pretend that you don't have to cook any of it! ... (although, I really like cooking ... not so much the cleaning part though, lol)

marlathrall 08-26-2013 01:57 PM

Mexican food. Always. Or a good steak- but I want to cook that myself because they mine are the best. lol.

Keely~B 08-26-2013 02:29 PM

I could never narrow it down to one, depends on my mood. I do love seafood though ( and also not to cook ;) )

AmaG 08-26-2013 03:19 PM

stuffed eggplant or a veggie enchiladas

coopert 08-26-2013 03:21 PM

Short Ribs with carrots and mushrooms.

DawnMarch 08-26-2013 07:57 PM

That's a tough one but people have already named a couple of my favorites - chicken parm and butter chicken. YUM. I also think nothing beats a great steak and mashed potatoes. And speaking of etouffee, I adore Louisiana-style BBQ shrimp. Once in a while, I dream I am living back in New Orleans and I am usually going to eat BBQ shrimp.

Once again, Marie, you need to cook for me.

My favorite is spaghetti, been since I was a kid. But I also love black bean mango chili or burritos or Mayan couscous.

Almost always some type of pasta, but there's a restaurant in Seattle called Cutter's...they make THE BEST Yaki Soba...or their Salmon Chowder. YUMMY!!!

I haven't had their yakisoba or salmon chowder, but we always enjoy our visits to Cutters.

monia13 08-27-2013 08:02 PM

I love sashimi. We eat it almost once a week. I also love mexican and chinese hot and sour soup.

rach3975 08-28-2013 12:16 AM

Mmm...hard to say. Right now it would have to be Paneer Tikka Masala or Basil noodles with paneer. Love that there's a restaurant here that serves Indian, Chinese, and Thai foods but I can get anything there made with paneer (Indian cheese cubes) instead of meat! I'm also a big Mexican food fan. What's not to love about beans and cheese? At home I mostly make myself vegetarian curries or salads topped with things like tofu marsala or Quorn (vegetarian chicken alternative) and feta for dinner. They're good, but not what I'd choose if calories were equal!

fifilur 08-28-2013 04:36 AM

Smoked salmon pasta sauce over tagliatelle, YUM!

Stacey42 08-28-2013 07:52 AM

Spicy lobster rolls and spicy girl rolls (many types of fish & avocado wrapped in soy) to eat when out.
Chicken, sweet potato & avocado salad to make at home
