Hello Everyone
I just wanted to say hello to everyone out there in blog/ scrapbooking world. i am not new to scrapbooking just so what new to digital scrapbooking. I would love to learn more about it. Can you please share what type of programs you use and how you keep everything organize. I currently have Photoshop Element 5.0. Do you think I need to up grade and are there any suggestions on how to remember how to incorproate all of th little tricks when it comes to digital scrapbooking, I feel like I am in a college course. Why do I get my photo to look clear once I finish the project.

welcome to SSD!! I use PSP XI so Im no help about using your particular program. I find that after awhile I can remember what I have and what helps me do it is to group by designer and to unzip the files as soon as I download them and to look at each item in the kit as soon as I unzip it. It just kinda locks it in my mind a little better. Even with doing that I still find those surprises that I didnt remember buying when looking for something to use on a layout. Good luck on getting started and hope to see some of your layouts around here soon :-)

Hi Deidra!
I use Photoshop CS3, but many, many scrappers use Photoshop Elements and I'm sure will be by to help you with your questions. As for organizing, I use a photo organizing program called ACDSee, which many of the girls use. I make folders by Store first, then within that, by designer. But lots of people organize in so many different ways!! I'm a big shopper, and I like to do it that way. Welcome aboard! |
Hi, Welcome to SSD!!!
I use PhotoElements 5 and it works great for what I do... I do have 7 hanging around here, but have not yet installed it. Misty Cato has some great tutorials on her blog, if you are looking for how to do something. As for organizing, I have everything saved under the store I purchase from and then divided by designer. For items I use all the time... they get copied to a Favorites folder so they are at my finger tips. Good luck and have fun.... if you have an questions, don't hesitate to ask... we love to help! |
