September 2020: Passport FAQ
If you have any questions regarding THIS month's Passport challenges, please post them here. We have a wonderful team and community here at SSD.... so someone is sure to get back to you ASAP with answers to anything and everything related to our Passport Challenge System! Here is a list of this month's challenge prompts for easy reference: #1. One Little Word : Knowledge You can use this word as/in your title work, within your journaling, or simply let it inspire the direction of your layout. #2. Product : Summer Sixlet Collabs Scrap a page featuring one of the SSD's Sixlet Collab kits that you collected this summer. ** If for any reason you weren't able to snag any of them, then just use another FWP kit from your stash. No Worries! ** #3. Featured : Laura & Allie Our featured designer articles have been expanded since we started our alphabet inspired series, and are showcased on the blog each time a new designer goes into the spotlight. Your challenge is to use any solo product from one of our featured designers this month PLUS discover something from either Wendy or Cindy's interviews this month to use as inspiration for a layout, be sure to tell us what inspired you in your gallery comments! The following are a few ideas on how you may glean inspiration from a FD interview... Using this interview with Meg [featured in December] ... You might be inspired by the red and white cookie jars in her kitchen to scrap a red & white layout. Maybe you'd like to include the quote she shared “The Best Thing About Memories Is Making Them” on your page, maybe you were inspired by the letter “G” to scrap your own OLW starting with the letter G... or perhaps you might simply want to lift one of the layouts created by the Babes to show off the FD freebie. It’s totally up to YOU to decide how you'd want to be loosely inspired by one of our FD blog posts. #4. Inspired By : Sugarbabe Aly Scroll through Aly's gallery and be inspired by one of her wonderful pages. https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com...020_WEB_WM.jpg https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com...ade_WEB_WM.jpg https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com...ska_WEB_WM.jpg #5. List : 10 Insights Grid Have some fun using the following pages as inspiration and create a grid [of sorts] on your page that highlights 10 Insights into ... how wise you are ... why I love you ... ways you bring me joy ... how important you are... why I'm so glad we're friends ... what makes me/you happy ... or something else that's meaningful to you ♥ https://i.pinimg.com/564x/18/6e/a7/1...e637c87954.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/750x/14/2b/d8/1...f25bdb5552.jpg #6. Leaving Love : Leave love on 15 layouts in the gallery and then post the link to each in your tracker thread. Create your own place marker by using your favorite layout you've left love for during the month to "hold" that spot on your card ♥ Right click on a page in the gallery and save... follow by resizing this saved image to 97 X 97 before adding it to your Passport tracker image. #7. Photography : Portrait Photography Tips Focus on your portrait skills this month. Expand your photography knowledge and explore some of the great ideas and tips found here. #8. Quote : A Wise Man Once Said Nothing You can creatively incorporate quotes into your page as titles, using journal cards or including the quote within your journaling. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/d8/d4/26/d...5bb56af749.jpg #9. Seasonal : Self Improvement September is Self Improvement Month ... scrap a page that reflects any/all of the efforts you'll be pursuing to achieve new growth. #10. Typography : Wisdom Merry Font Download font and use it on your layout. #11. Wild Card : Scrap anything you'd like for this challenge ♥ #12. Composition : Stars Let the stars provide the inspiration for the composition of your page. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/79/fc/99/7...9448448b5a.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/564x/c6/47/ce/c...43ebc9a3d1.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/564x/17/5d/14/1...def184cfbc.jpg #13. Journal : A Chapter You Don’t Read Out Loud Scrap "the chapter you don’t read out loud". Even if you hide your journaling from us when posting your page, scrap a meaningful page that you wouldn’t share with just anyone. #14. Currently : Learning... #15. Color : Scrap with this month’s color swatch. It should be obvious that the page you've created was inspired by the colors featured in the swatch image posted below. ** You don’t necessarily have to use all of the colors shown [use 2, or 3, or all 5] ** https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...ef39ac8e1d.jpg #16. Pop Culture : Current Events & Pop Culture From sports teams striking to Big Brother and Love Island quarantining their contestants to concerts and events being cancelled and TikTok being under pressure, current events are having a major impact on pop culture and entertainment in 2020. Scrap a lighthearted page about how your faves are being impacted by current events. #17. Details : Confetti Get creative and explore some out of the box ideas on uses for confetti. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/8a/de/0c/8...cd52e33110.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/564x/68/22/9e/6...bdfac16047.jpg #18. Scraplift : Hosted on the Blog On the first Sunday of each month, Sugarbabe Kim E. will host an inspiring Scraplift Challenge on the SSD Blog. You have the entire month to play along and complete your page. To keep in mind while you're scrapping... These prompts are written and created with fairly broad themes/concepts in mind and I think that personal interpretation is key. You can certainly approach a prompt literally, or I encourage you to think about it in a different way ... take a creative approach on ways to apply prompts so that they'll work for you and your family. |

I wasn't financially able to buy anything this Summer so I don't have any of the Summer Sixlet kits! That makes me super sad because I always complete all of the challenges every month... please please please change the rule for #2 |
I'm not sure what a Summer Sixlet is? Is it the free kit you get after a purchase?

They were free if you purchased $15 worth of products.

Has anyone tried using the font of this month? When I type the "t" and the "h" together they don't show. You can type the "t" and the "h" by themselves but not together.
