Ok, I am so ticked off right now!

I have spent the last two days deep cleaning my kitchen and tonight, I didn't feel like cooking. So, I made a grocery list for him to get chef salad makings. He came home, I was getting ready to get in the shower, so youngest DD started making the salad. She cut the ham, cheese, eggs, lettuces, green onions, cucumber and tomatoes. It looked delicious!!

I put some Texas toast in the oven before I took my shower and told the hubster to check on it when the timer went off. I heard the timer go off and I heard him go into the kitchen.

Well, I finish the shower - shaved my legs and all so it took longer - and the kitchen is SMOKING!! He fell asleep on the darn bed and let the bread burn. Then I'm dishing out the salad and he says - "That ham was supposed to be cooked first." WTH!

My DD starts crying because she thinks she ruined our dinner, but in all fairness, she didn't know that the ham had to be cooked. When I buy ham steaks, I buy the ones that are pre-cooked especially for serving in cold dishes. So, this jerk tells her that she needs to read the package from now on. Another WTH!

So he's in there dishing out all the ham to pan fry it - but I am still afraid to eat it because there is still ham juice in there where the raw was.

Now this is the clincher - he's pissed off at me because I wouldn't eat the salad with the damn raw ham in it. The package clearly says COOK THOROUGHLY.

Ok, vent over. :cursing:

this is what makes me glad hubby works every night at dinner time. I may not want to cook, but at least I don't have to deal with him in the kitchen.
thankfully, the oldest boy loves cooking, and is awesome at following directions (either from a recipe or me).

I don't blame you Paula, I wouldn't eat it either!!

I'm right there with you Paula. There is no way in H E double L would I have had that salad and you better believe that my DH would give me crap about it too!!!!

OMGosh Paula like you really needed that to add onto your day. Goodness! And for what it's worth I would never have eaten that salad either, he'll get sick and wish he didn't either!

ROFL oh that would be so perfect! I have actually often thought I would love for my dh to go to truck driving school so that I'd see him just occasionally, lol. That's pretty bad huH?

Sorry you had a rough night Paula. I can send my teenage son to ya..he's a great cook! I hardly EVER have to cook!

DITTO that! If that were my DH, he'd find a VERY cold bed (or couch LOL) after that kind of crap attitude.

What a goober!! Tomorrow night he would get a big plate of cooked ham pieces for dinner and nothing else. And I would make sure he knew how badly he hurt your DD's feelings.
