I have a really weird cat

Well two actually...my cat Zoey eats watermelon. She will actually try to take it while you are eating it and my other cat pebbles love popcorn. My son made a bowl and she jumped up on his lap without him expecting it grabbed a piece and ran off to eat it. She will actually beg for it and knows when you have it because she can smell it. I know this because she will wake up from a sound sleep and start smelling the air. And all three of my cats will eat corn on the cob. Anyone else have this problem with their cats (or dogs) eating stuff you would not normally think they would like?

LOL!

Our cat likes pasta. And DH fed her grapes the other day and she liked it.

I have a third cat Patty who doesnt really eat anything strange for cats. She will chew on the corn on the cob but other then that she eats pretty much just cat food. I have never had cats who like fruits though as much as Zoey and Pebbles do. My hamster Einstein would eat grapes but I guess that is pretty normal.

Our cat liked anything dairy. She knew she wasn't allowed on the counters or table top, but if we left something that had dairy in it, she was up there and eating! Things like the melted icecream, leftover milk from cereal, the little bit of yogurt in the tub after scraping it out.

Another thing she did was "approve" of what we were eating. She insisted on sniffing EVERYTHING. She would jump up onto a kitchen chair, put her front paws on the back and stretch to see what we were eating. We'd let her sniff it, then she'd be happy & let us eat. If we didn't let her sniff it, she'd meow & whine & paw at our legs, lol!

LOL thats funny because Pebbles will do that too. She takes her paw and pats you. Its like she is saying let me see let me see!! Sometimes she doesnt actually pat but more like wave at you like hey look at me I want some. Its adorable.

LOL, one of my cats will eat the cotton off of a q-tip, as well as chow down on rubber bands. I have to make sure that we dispose or store the rubber bands in a place he can't get to them, because if he finds one, he'll love it, but I'll be finding cat puke all over the floor within a couple of hours.

But the worst...when the dog was younger, I caught him eating cat poop more than once. The vet said it was normal for dogs to do...it actually has more protein than dog food.

that is one thing I hated about having our dog Shadow. She would eat the poo out of the litter box so I had to clean it out several times a day. She also chewed up poopy diapers. Which is probably the most disgusting thing to clean up. I really do not know what they use in those diapers but when they get wet the cottony stuff inside turns into a nasty gel like material. YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!

Oh gosh I have the funniest story. My husband went to Burger King or Mcdonalds and got a big hamburger(either a big Mac or Whopper) anyhow our cat walked up to him and when he least expected it she jumped up grabbed one of the patties off the bun and took off running. He was so mad but it was so darn funny. She is running through the house with an entire hamburger patty in her mouth trying to find somewhere private to enjoy her "meal" He is now super careful with his food and watches the cats whenever he is eating.

One of our cats like to chew on plastic bags like it was gum. He won't eat any meat or table food, just plain dry cat food. Not even can food. My other cat eats anything - even raw potatoes. He used to stash food behind the fridge in our old apt, anything from burrito wrappers to chip bags, to McD's burger wrappers....and all sorts of bones. We could see the lower half of his body and tail wagging in between the fridge and stove and always wondered what he was doing there. Till one day, the fridge broke down and we got another one.

While the delivery people were taking the fridge away, he was very nervous pacing the kitchen. It was then we found his stash. He started to make another in the next house we rented - under our bed. That was the end of it! Everything was thrown out.
