That is the sound at my house today. We're finally getting our roof replaced from that horrible storm back in April. It's taken them this long to get to us.

It's so stinkin' LOUD. I can't even focus. Don't they KNOW that I have work that I need to do?

Thank goodness for my ipod. It's the only thing keeping me partially sane.

I think that you and Dawn should just find a safe house for the day. You have roofers, she has a jackhammer. Not good. At least you have partial sanity. LOL

Ohhh I know exactly the sound, we just had ours replaced in May and boy I was counting down the minutes until they were done!

I know exactly what you are going through. I was visiting my mom the day she was getting hers replaced in July.. Man sometimes it sounded like they were going to come through the roof. LOL

We had to have our roof replaced after Katrina...they hammered so hard at one point that one of the glass fixtures on the light over my dining room table fell off and crashed into a million pieces. Thankfully DS wasn't in the area at the time.

aaarghhhh that would make me crazy.

Yay for a new roof, but booo on the noise! My dh is in construction and fools around at home with projects, so I know the sound all too well!

Oh, I can totally relate. Firstly we had our roof redone in May and the aircompressor they used they parked RIGHT outside my front door. So everytime the nailgun would need some air it would turn on and yeah, try not being stressed that your 6 month old is trying to take a nap during all that. And then the following week we had our siding done. Then 4 long months of blissful quiet and today we had our deck pulled up as well as our fence. We cannot go out the back door, and our poor dog is so confused to have to go out the front door to go potty. ANd he even tried to climb up the back deck stairs when he was done(that ended poorly, he fell through the supports adn totally embarrassed himself, thankfully he didn't get hurt). So yeah, I feel your pain. I hope they finish quickly!
