How bad is this?

Frickin' cat has chewed through my laptop power cord so much that I can see the silver wires inside. :cursing:

I wrapped the cord with duct tape (hope that wasn't a big no-no). I suppose I will need to order a new one.

Bad kitty!!!! Electrical tape may have been better? You know that black stuff.

Sorry, what a PITA!

LOL, yeah, I couldn't find any electrical tape. Don't even know if we have any.

Jennifer 09-29-2008 07:49 PM

Yeah, I'd order another one. Cord, not cat.

Mama-to-Elle 09-29-2008 07:49 PM

This is the last cat (or pet) we are ever going to have. :glare:

I feel sudden need for ice cream.

Think I will downgrade Miffy's food to generic.

scrappychic 09-29-2008 08:39 PM

Did you grab her by the scruff and stick her nose in it?

Sue Setiadji 09-29-2008 08:42 PM

Im surprised that cat is still alive Mimi - you need to learn to deal with your problems more creatively!

Cats make great garden compost!! :p

That's bad enough to do with a dog as it doesn't work, but a cat? Cat's don't respond to anything like that at all.( All that does is confuse them, because it's WAY after the deed was done. You gotta catch the critter in the act.)
I think with Miffy, you still gots to catch her and bring out the water pistol, lol.

I had one my birds do that too! After I found it my hubster used electrical tape on it. DOh! Course 5 minutes later the bird got a shoe!! Now he doesn't get on the floor but dang that first year he was a naughty boy. :)

Cockatoo's are fun really!

DawnMarch 09-29-2008 09:24 PM

Man, that Miffy is one pesky cat. Definitely get a new cord -- the risk of fire isn't something to mess with.

my3hens 09-29-2008 09:55 PM

LOL You have your hands full! For some reason I can visualize your cat and my son getting into lots of trouble together LOL

jocelinsmommy 09-29-2008 10:18 PM

the water works wonders---dogs and cats alike :)

lizzyfizzy 09-29-2008 10:20 PM

oye, mimi!!! that's annoying!!

kscwgirl 09-29-2008 10:35 PM

at least you dont' have fried kitty cat, right? LOL

pewtertm 09-30-2008 11:00 AM

LOL, I've been there more than once.

Trying being on dial-up (back in '02), being online, and having your Brinks alarm go off all of a sudden....only to discover that your cat has bitten through the alarm cord! And because you're online, the alarm company can't get you on the phone, and so they dispatch the police to your house....

Kim 09-30-2008 12:00 PM

bad kitty kitty! Hopefully it wasnt shocked by it... or maybe being shocked would deter it from chewing the next one?
