Just when I think...
I can't love my husband any more than I already to...he does something so sweet...
I just walked into the bedroom and was getting ready to say something to him and I looked at his face and tears were rolling down it...I was like WHAT??? He pointed to the TV and he has the HBO Inaugural Party on... They were showing clips of some of Obama's speech highlights... He loves Obama...and I love him for that...and so many other reasons, but this struck me tonight. |

I, personally, didn't vote for Obama (or McCain, to be clear) but I think that is so completely amazing for him to be moved SO much by something that means something to him.

I think it is cool when guys get emotional.
|
I love when my husband is passionate about something like that... it really gets to me too!
|
awww, thats really sweet Shannon!
|
Aw, that's really awesome, his passion about it and how much he cares! So cool!
DH is earning major points here too. I think he knows how upset I've been about everything and tonight we're watching that rock band commercial with heidi klum in it and he looks at me and says, you have way better legs than her. It was so random and out of the blue! I just kind of chuckled and said thanks! |
Shannon and Emily-
I love BOTH of your husbands too!! My husband is actually being really good today and I kinda like him! :) |

GAG! Scott makes me want to puke. You and your five zillion reasons you're still in love with your high school sweetheart are sickening.
Next time I will be more careful before I open your threads. |

that is an awesome thing that those clips moved him. I too did not vote for Obama but seriously hope that someone can turn this country around and get things headed the right way. and just hearing him speak, I think he may make some sort of impact.
On a side note, did anyone see or hear the report that this inauguration may be the most costly ever? |
I think that it is great that your husband is able to show his emotions....I love my hubby with all of my heart, but he has a hard time showing his....His Father is/was the same way from what my MIL tells me....
|
That is so sweet Shannon!
And Emily, that guy has some perfect timing! LOLing at Kellie! my DH was gone from 5am till 10pm plowing got back up at 3:30am to go out again so he hasn't done much wrong lately! :) |

Plus, I am sure they need extra added security with all the nut jobs out there that want to do him (or this country) harm. I am just happy for the people that are hired to work on this inauguration....at least the extra expense is causing some people to not lost their jobs. Susan |
It doesn't bother me either. He also raised a TON of money for the pomp and circumstance.
I watched the special on HBO and I was so moved. I cried several times and sat there with a big smile on my face the whole time. I especially loved it when Michelle was taking a picture with her little digital camera and when PE Obama was singing along. There are REAL people just like us and I love them for that. |
I finally last night in bed watched the entire thing from start to finish and can I just say...WOW! It was an amazing party that showed a personal side of our PE, that I loved seeing.
I don't care about the extra money either, he has fundraised for the Pomp and Circumstance, which is more than we can say for some past PE's. I hope that our country can begin to heal and bridge the divide, and I think that Obama wants the same thing. |
