this one .. I use to love the song actually.. but everytime I hear it I think about one of my friends in HS.. her mom passed away when we were in 10th grade.. it was the first time I had gone to a funeral and really *got* it.. this was her moms favorite song at the time (that sounded horrid :[ ) She suffered a lot.... her passing was just terrible (not that it's usually like a joyous occasion or anything :p ) .. I can't believe it's been like 11 years

ah I agree... that song is sad to me too. It is a great song tho. I haven't heard it since I was in high school! :p

The Wallflowers, in general, have a melancholic song vibe, I think.

I guess you can't help it when you're a Dylan. At least I can understand what Jakob's singing most of the time. :)

It's amazing how songs will conjure up memories and emotions based on when we heard them or when they were popular?

I can't listen to "Time Of Your Life" by Green Day anymore...ever since it was used for one of my cousin's funerals (I wasn't there...but another cousin was and she told me, and showed me the little card thinger and it was all typed out there). He'd committed suicide (his twin had died in a car accident a couple years before) and I think he was 17. :(

BUT other songs will make me think back to my fun single days, warm weather, walking to work...it's crazy what they remind me of, lol...

I absolutely LOVE this song. My friend Danette and I used to ride around wasting gas in our car, singing at the top of our lungs. As soon as the first note plays I think of her right away.

To be honest, just about every song reminds me of someone or something.
