Name suggestions!

My baby will be here in 2 weekends! My puppy that is! She is a mini schnauzer. She is black and silver with white markings. Here is a photo similar to what she looks like:

This is her at age 5 weeks. She will be 8 weeks when I get her.

(not my photos)

We only have 2 names that we can think of. I like Pixel and my six year old picked Lizzie. My three year old wants to call her Kitty Cat so I am not even asking for his input again. My husband wants to wait until we get her to decide.

So any input would be appreciated! We will wait until she comes home with us to make the final decision. I want to see what her personality is like first. But I still would not mind having a list of names to pull from!

Thanks!

I'm the worst name picker alive. I dread having kids and having to decide.

My girl is Tiger (Tigah-now). On petfinder she was listed as Buttercup. When I first got her, I named her Clover. *gag* SO didn't fit her. She's been Tiger ever since.

Good luck! She's ADORABLE!

i mean. lizzie sounds great. :o

i really like pixel too though.

i like older human names for animals.

ie. opal, hazel, mabel...lol. i just think dogs look like old people i guess. esp schnauzers.

I like pixel! Although the minute I saw her the name "trixie" (could be trixy...the name didn't spell itself when it debuted in my brain) jumped out at me.

I don't know what to name that baby...but I WANT her!

ditzyscrap 02-20-2009 01:42 PM

Oh c'mon...Kitty Cat is the PERFECT name for that puppy!! :D

Mimi sounds cute.

kscwgirl 02-20-2009 02:24 PM

I like Pixel. :D

I'm sure I know someone with a dog called cat he he.

She's adorable, I love people name for pets too. I always wanted a dog called Ian, doesn't that sound like the most inappropriate name for a dog ever he he.

I like pixel, I tend to name pets after characters from books I love, what are your favourite books? xxx

She is adorable Amanda! What about Frances?

aggiefamily 02-20-2009 03:57 PM

Ok maybe I shouldn't have posted this. Because now my decision is too hard! I am loving all the names!

tlcaudle 02-20-2009 04:23 PM

I like Muffin, or Belle!

Here's a good link of schnauzer names: http://www.schnauzerlover.com/dognames.html

My shiba's registered name is Lil' Miss Bailey Sweet Cheeks (Cheek is our last name) and we call her Bailey. The other is a boy (a vizsla) and his name is Murphy. I haven't decided on a registered name yet for him though. LOL!

Cow Pie.

I know you wanted this puppy just so you could scrap with the girly kits. 'Fess up!

So, you'd better get something that's gonna look good in any alpha and doesn't repeat too many letters :p

I tend to lean toward humanish names.

Trixie is pretty darn cute. I like Ryleigh (but that's a lot of letters), Megs, Casey, Becca, Lizzie, Lucy, and many more.

I think Pixel is cute - but she looks more like a Dixie to me! LOL

wildblueeyez 02-21-2009 04:09 PM

How about Piddles or Puddles? :D LOL

I like Pixel - it's cute on a puppy but how will you feel about calling her Pixels as an adult dog?

I can see Trixie as a puppy name and one that fits her as an adult too!

I haven't read all the suggestions, so pardon if this is a duplicate.

My bff growing up had a schnauzer and her name was Heidi. It was such a fitting name for the spunky little pup!

She's adorable! Good luck!
