IT'S A GIRL!!

Emily Erin made her entrance into the world on Saturday, March 14. She weighed 7lbs 2oz and is 20 1/4" long. Here is a pic :)

I started having contractions Friday night around 7 about every 10 min and then by 5 they were every 5 min, we decided at 9 when the contractions were 3 min apart we should probably head to the hospital. When we got there at 10, I was a little disappointed to find out I was only 3-4 cm dialated, I thought for sure waiting that long I would be farther. Then contractions got really strong and coming really fast and when the dr came into check on me at 11:30, I was ready to push! They were all quite shocked, so they had to get everything in the room and the dr had to get his scrubs on and with 3 pushes Emily was born at 11:33. Needless to say I went natural, which we were planning on, but she made quite the entrance considering I wasn't even admitted to the hospital yet, since I wasn't farther along and the dr was going to wait to admit me until I had progressed. I didn't have to have an IV, which I was really happy about :)
