I need help!
Can someone please come and hold Stella for awhile?! I can't do anything at all unless she is on my lap or I am carrying her. She won't sleep because I am not in there with her. I can't eat unless she's on my lap. When I go the bathroom she totally freaks out! I am soooo exhausted and need help. :( I feel bad for her because I think she must have teeth coming in, but seriously I can't take much more. :( The hubby is on the night shift so he just sleeps all day long and is gone all night. :(
thanks for letting me vent, lol! Now I have to go pick her back up cause she's mad that I put her in bed and didn't stay in there. |
How old is she Crystal?
Poor Mommy. {hugs} |

I'll see you tomorrow then!!! :D ;)

awww I remember that age!! Could you set up a playyard in the room with you so you dont have to hold her all the time? When I had to clean the house that is where my kids would go so I could mop the floors without them trying to dump my mop bucket over LOL. She is probably just going through that seperation phase where she thinks when she cant see you anymore you are just gone

awwww HUGE HUGS - I feel where you are coming from on all of it - from the teething to the hubby on nights. Lucas has been like that since day 1.. he is at his worst when he is teething (which is MOSTLY over for the time being since he has 16 now). He had a pretty bad week last week but this week he seems better He has bad separation anxiety too and the same thing - freaks out if i leave his sight. I don't really have any recommendations other than to just keep doing what you are doing. :( Just wanted to let you know I"m totally with you on how you are feeling!! They are really close in age too - lucas just turned 13 months.

Awww! HUGS Crystal! I would totally come do it!
|
Thanks girls. It's just rough and my arms are tired....she's pretty chubby and I am not that strong! :D lol! If I can get one of her brothers to sit down with her and really try to play with her for a bit she will be ok for a few minutes, but at 5 and 3 they don't want to entertain her that much, :D
Tracie you could just sit and relax on my couch and hold her! I wouldn't make you do anything else! lol |
Awww Crystal - that is such a hard (but fun) age - they know something's wrong, but they can't tell you what it is.
You could come to my house for a visit and I would take care of her for you. I have a big comfy couch and lots of room. Betcha you've never been to Manitoba, Canada before! LOL Have you checked for those one year molars? Those are awful beggars! |
I'd come help you out, but I've had the same clingy baby syndrome as you the last 2 days with Ava having the flu. She's in bed and all is peaceful right now though.... ahhhhh, silence!
|
Goodness honey Im sorry :( I have so been there I totally understand. I would totally help ya out if I could. On another note WOW a year already! Where is the time going??

Veggietales was my lifesaver and my sister's as well!
Your dh works more than 12 hours in a day? If not, he should be able to adjust his sleeping schedule a bit (either before or after work) and help out. Speaking from 25 years of marriage (experience here babe!)...sometimes you have to knock them on the head to get them to realize you need HELP! Don't hint...demand!! Do you have a friend nearby that you could swap with? Maybe she takes your child for a few hours so you can sleep or getaway...and then one day you take hers for a few hours. Maybe your child needs a playmate!! A neighborhood child hired for an hour or two a week might help too...sometimes the unexpected works...and you don't know until you try. Good luck...and if it doesn't work the first time...try it again. It does NOT hurt the child to cry or scream...put on some headphones and music to relax you...they have to learn to separate and amuse themselves...or this will never end! My kids are 20, 15, and 13 now. It did help having the two kids closer together...a lot more diaper changing and stuff for awhile...but they always had a playmate close to their age. I couldn't physically hold them both at the same time...so we broke that anxiety separation issue real quick. |

We actually don't have neighbors with kids. :( We live in a small neighborhood and there aren't any little kids. My mom lives right next door but she hasnt' been doing well lately, so I haven't wanted to bother her. She knows I have been having hard time and hasn't volunteered either, so she must not feel up to it, lol! |
Crystal, have you ever tried a sling or a wrap? I used a wrap with Noah until he was about 15 months and didn't need to be held so much. It saved my life! He was such a chunk, and I just couldn't carry him all the time, but the wrap took the load off for me and still left my hands free. I'd be happy to get you more info if you need it!
