My Glasses Are Making Me Crazy...

Just so you know. LOL!

For real, though. Last night one of the nose pads literally broke off inside the little holder...so I had one on and one off. That was annoying because the glasses were sitting on my face all wonky, so I decided to just take the other one out, lol.

Now there's like nothing holding my glasses up though, and they bridge part is sitting right against my nose...I've got a sore there already from when I push them up, lol.

I'm soooo going to the optometrist tomorrow and getting these babies fixed, lol...

I had that happen with a pair of my glasses and it caused a sore where the metal piece was sitting on my nose. It sucks. I hate wearing glasses!!

I'm going to get contacts again, I think...once I'm back working full-time and not sitting here staring at a computer screen all day long, I'll be able to. I tried a couple years ago and my eyes are just too dry (I don't blink much, and it's worse when I'm just staring at the computer), even the ones that are supposed to be good for that didn't work.

But really, I like the looks of contacts better on myself and then I wouldn't have to deal with glasses that much, lol! Oh, AND I could wear sunglasses again!!

I hear ya!! I want to go back to contacts too. I'm too chicken for Lasik surgery, but I'm getting so sick of wearing glasses. Babies and glasses are never the best combo anyways, lol!

oh I can so relate!!! I desperately want contacts or like laser eye surgery, lmbo! I am sooo sick of having my glasses!

I must be weird...I don't mind my glasses!!! I got contacts at the age of 15 and wore them NON STOP till I was about 28. Then in the middle of my pregnancy with my oldest DS I suddenly could not wear them any more (that was in July of 2004)!!! I haven't been able to wear them since!! Although I will admit I haven't tired them in about 3 years so things might be different now!! There are a few times I wish I still wore contacts (like when we are in the pool....my G splashes something awful :D) but for the most part I love the fact that I just throw my glasses on and go......no messing with solution.

I hate glasses myself and now in my old age, I can't go without them. I've been considering surgery but need some money first!! I had that happen to my glasses once and you know what's strange, I didn't really notice much difference--LOL, other then the metal piece stinking out jabbing my nose--got them fixed the next day, but I really could see ok with them---I guess I see crooked naturally LOL

I have had contacts for 15 years or so, and I'll never go back to wearing glasses. I used to break them, sit on them, lose the nose thingies....this is much easier. LOL! I will be getting surgery eventually, once I get some $$

ditzyscrap 07-22-2009 02:27 PM

Well, I got them fixed and they feel SO much better, lol! :)

While I was waiting to be helped, I browsed their selection and fell in love with a couple of pairs, lol. Maybe I'll do both...contacts and glasses. ;)

I've tried to do contacts a couple of times but they would just never work for me...they just never felt comfortable. I'm so used to my glasses, they don't bother me much, but I am due for an exam and a new pair..I've had these a couple of years and I think it's time for a new look lol
