Artscow canvas prints

Has anyone had a canvas print made with Artscow? How was the quality?

Kara 08-11-2009 09:04 AM

I'm curious, too!

Bdigis 08-11-2009 09:28 AM

I would love to know as well. There's a photo I really want to have done. :)

I have printed lots of stuff at Artscow and never been disappointed. I haven't yet done a canvas, but its next on the list to try.

I have my albums and prints done there as well and have been pleased with everything. I havent tried a canvass print though.

I haven't yet- but do remember it's not framed. So you'll get basically a scroll of canvas and need to take it in to frame it. Not a bad deal, just wanted to be sure you know what to expect. :)

Looks like only the huge canvases are unstretched. The rest are stretched and frankly, I love stretched canvas without a frame.

I'm dying to try them too! I too LOVE a stretched canvas w/out frame.

schock77 08-11-2009 10:04 AM

I thought they weren't stretched... my bad! :) I also like the canvas with more of an unfinished look...

I've been wanting to use them do some art for my DD's room. I've been happy with all my order from them (books, prints and calendars) except the calendar that never got delivered to my in-laws that they won't replace. :cursing: I'd use them again though - let us know if you get one done and how happy you are with the quality.

I had some done, but I don't have anything to compare it to because I have never gotten them done elsewhere. I was happy with the quality. The colors were perfect, and there were no flaws. :)

I am trying to get some ready right now but I am having trouble with the bleed area, how much did you add when making yours? I am trying to make some 6x6 and 8x10s.

I was curious about the canvas as well. I just ordered an album from them, my first one, and can't wait till it gets here. I've only ordered a mousepad from them before.

I ordered a book from there as some "free photo book" promotion and was let down by the color quality. The colors were wayyy too saturated, causing the greens to look awful and the faces to look orangy. I don't know about other stuff from them, but the photo books, yuck!

lisabranka 08-11-2009 12:51 PM

I have 4 of the prints on canvas. I thought they would be on a frame.. but came all rolled up. The quality and stuff is really good for the price :) of course I haven't printed on canvas anywhere else :)

So now what do I do with my canvas. put it behind a frame? I'm lost! LOL

lisabranka 08-12-2009 07:54 PM

anyone know about how to mount said canvas to display?

How long ago was your order? When I did my first one, the faces of naturally red people were very red. But they got new machines and I haven't had that problem yet. They look just like on screen now.

For those who have ordered the canvas prints, is it OK if I see an example in pictures? I want to order but need to see them in print first. THanks :)

I've had 3 printed, but they weren't photos printed on canvas. I took the colors of my girls' room and used a quote I like, plus the bedtime "sayings" they each have. So it's all text and color. The colors came out exactly right, but that's about all I have to say. I did get the 8x10 stretched frame ones. Had a coupon so they were $12/each, free shipping. I really like them, and the girls do too.

I'll take some pictures later tonight. I'm off to the band concert :) LOL DD is doing Band camp and they are performing tonight at the park in town.
