Paint Shop Pro Users -- Help

I just got Paint Shop Pro and I have no idea what I am doing. Can I use Eva's Clip Me! Waves and how would I go about doing so?

Go here and download this script...it works just like a clipping mask in PS/PSE...

When you have it installed all you do then is drag the Clip Me Waves into a layer under whatever paper you want...click on the PAPER layer and then run the sript.

Thanks Nikki!

I guess I'll be adding Clip Me Waves to my cart now.

YOu can also just drag the wave onto your layout. Position it over the paper, use the magic wand to select it (set to color or all opaque), then click on the paper layer, then Ctrl + Shift+ P to promote the selection to a new layer. Ctrl+D to deselect, then hide the paper & the shape, leaving the clipped paper visible. Sounds like a lot but takes about 2 seconds.

The script makes templates so freakin easy to use. Its amazing.

One thing I love about the script is that you can use photo masks which is something I could never get to look right before I found it.

totally, Nikki!

Thanks so much girls. I don't know what I'm doing.

Hi! :) You can most certainly use PSP with my shape templates. I started out using PSP (many moons ago) and still use it on a regular basis. :) I haven't used the script that was posted, but Stacey (she posted above) uses PSP and she uses my clipping masks all of the time. If you need a screenshot of the magic wand settings let me know and I will take one for you.

Oh the screen shots would be great Eva. I'm so new at this software.

Couple of questions so that I get you some usable screenshots.
1. Do you understand how layers work?
2. What version of PSP are you using?

scrap2day 02-27-2010 02:27 PM

I have Paint Shop Pro Ultimate Photo X2.

I sort of understand layers. I kind of understand the concept but I'm not sure how to actually apply using the software. Ok. I know that makes no sense. I understand that everything is a layer. Like in Paper scrapping, one layer would be the background paper, the photo would be another layer, and so on. Is that right?

Yup! You got it. :)

I am taking a few screenshots now for you. I use a lower version of PSP so it may look a tiny bit different, but the concept is the same. I will post a mini tutorial for you in a few minutes.

Thanks so much Eva!

EvaK 02-27-2010 03:21 PM

I wrote you a little mini tutorial with screenshots. I saved it as a pdf file so that you could save and print it if you want to. CLICK HERE

I didn't have anyone check my grammar or test the tutorial for me... so if there is a step that is a bit confusing just ask. :)

Eva
