Another Hybrid Question
ok, so i used mod podge to adhere my paper to a children's board book, and the paper overlaps the edges and needs trimming. If this were regular scrapbook paper, i would just grab some sandpaper and file away. is it ok to do that with inkjet printed pages? i really don't want to mess it up!
thanks! |
I would say it depends on the look you're going for. I've done it and not had any trouble. I usually take a craft knife and get in as best as I can then sand away. But, I also tend to ink most projects and try sticking to a color that will cover any flaws.
If you do decide to do that, make sure it's REALLY dry. Or, the Mod Podge will make the paper more susceptible to tearing, |
If you didn't seal the paper with mod podge on top, then you're fine. I do this all the time. I use a few different types of sanding files that I got in a Basic Grey distressing set. But I mostly use the big nail file sorta one :)

I'd sand it too and if you don't like the faded looking edges, just ink them. :)
