NSBR: Xmas present for 9 year old girl?........

Anyone know what a 9 year old girl is into these days? I have to buy a present for my niece who I rarely get to see, so I have no idea what to get her....
Any ideas????? TIA!

Oh... if had a niece I would try to make an altered diary inside a beautiful altered box - I know it is only a little gift - but also heart made, so pretty and girls LOVE to write about themself! I think you are looking for a bigger present, aren't you?

You could get her one of those Webkinz. Or a gift certificate to a jewelry or book store.

How about a Webkinz or an Epet?

Cora has both, and even though they're able to be interacted with online, she rarely gets on and plays. She just loves having her little horse (who she named Sugar)

Also, Cora is only 8, but she LOVES shopping in Claire's!!

Another vote for Webkinz, and maybe a Webkinz necklace and charm if you can find them. They're awfully hard to find around here and a real treat when you do. (My dd will be 9 in Feb and she loves these things.)

Kendra is 9, and I was *so* going to say Webkinz. She loooooooooooves them. And they're fairly inexpensive too.

Girls that age are also really big into Hannah Montana and High School Musical stuff. Pretty much anything with those logos on it will be a huge hit.

Kendra's also just starting to get really into music (CD's) and girly stuff like lip gloss, body spritz, bubble bath, etc.

She's also asking for books this year, but I realize that may not be a FUN gift to give as an aunt. LOL!

Everything else on her list is really expensive. LOL! She wants a Wii, more Nintendo DS games, a laptop, etc etc etc.

My niece who's the same age loves Hanna Montana! Also the lipgloss is a great idea.

yah Hannah Montanta, Bratz, Webkinz...etc lol

THANK YOU ladies!!! You are the best, now at least I have some idea what to look for!!

I have two nine year old nieces and they have been begging Aunt Paula to get them webkinz. LOL

lhaslem 11-30-2007 02:10 PM

oh yeah - WebKinz, Hannah Montana = those are sure to be winners.

lol my dd is soooo wierd! She's 9 and isn't into High School Musical or Hannah Montannah or webkins and hasn't started the girly-girly stuff yet either. Should I be sad or happy? hahaha I was gonna suggest Build A Bear Workshop, cash or GC in a cute little purse with some accesories (my dd is getting into earning and spending her own money).

Another vote for Webkinz or Hannah Montana/ High School Musical stuff

My DD is turning 9 next week!! Webkinz apparently haven't made it to the wish list in Australia yet - but they will probably be all the rage the week before Christmas. Lauren is still into dolls, but also loves makeup, jewellery, books, sudoku puzzles, High School Musical, Cheetah Girls and Hannah Montanna. For outside she loves her scooter, netball, swimming gear and she is also really into clothes right now. She also loves any of the crafty kits that are around - beads, basic sewing, glueing things together etc. We're also looking at decorative things for her room (like a touch lamp etc), and paint by numbers kits. .... now if only teenage boys were so easy LOL

pbumbaca 12-05-2007 04:26 PM

Or any type of crafty kit, jewelry making, etc. I have bought a few of these for our friend's DD thru the years, she's 12 now and still loves all that stuff!

another idea, an inexpensive mp3 player (I found one at Target for under $30 for a kids one - I chose a pink/purple cheetah print with rhinestone accents for my stb 9-yr old dd) and a prepaid download card.

My dd has never asked for webkinz, her top requests this year were mp3 player, games for her gameboy advance, a new diary/journal, and Bratz and/or Barbies.

A WebKinz or anything HSM2!
