Please pray for my Daddy...
 

....for the past several days he's been dealing with some hearing problems in his left ear. Everything is just so magnified and such a roar that he can hardly hear anything. Well around the same time he noticed a numbness in his right thumb. The numbness/tingling has moved all the way up his arm making it hard for him to grasp anything. He went to a doctor today and he had my dad go get an MRI as he thinks the two are related. He is thinking based on my dad's symptoms that it's something on/in the left side of his brain and mentioned that a visit with a neurosurgeon might be in order. My dad asked him if it was just something that would clear up with a pill or some kind of medicine and the doctor looked him square in the eye and said 'no'. I know it's too soon to jump to conclusions, but I could hear the worry in his voice and that just kills me. He and his wife just split up so, aside from my sister being in the same city, he's all alone and that makes me so sad. :( He's waiting now to hear the results, should be either today or tomorrow. :unsure:

I hope everything is ok. Good thing he went to the Dr to be checked out though! So many men would have just blown it off and not gone in. It sounds like the Dr is taking him seriously-which is good. ((hugs)) and Lifting him up in prayer.

Well, my dad just called and the good news - the doctor said the MRI results looked good. He did send the results on to the neurologist and my dad goes to see him Friday. He said that while the results look good, there is still something that's not quite right there so we'll see what the neurologist says. Thank you so much for your prayers!!

I'm just seeing this now...and I'm glad you got good news! Obviously something isn't right, but hopefully it's something easily managed.

Oh, that's scary Laurie.....glad the MRI came back okay, hope whatever they find is nothing too serious!! :( Keep us updated!
