What's that noise?
 

Just curious, do you listen to music, watch tv or just enjoy silence when you scrap?

Anything specific artist/music/tv-show you have in the background?

If it were up to me I'd always keep music on when I scrap. I love music! Artist depends on my mood, but Kate Nash and Paloma Faith has been what I've chosen lately. Also Bigbang, their newest CD.

I am usually on the laptop watching TV at the same time. However, I have been known to rewind something on TV because I was totally not paying attention to it while I was scrapping. :)

Normally, its my child playing and watching some sort of kid show. But occasionally I get to have my tv shows or even music.

Actually it depends what kind of page I'm creating. If I'm journaling a lot (which I tend to do often) I need nothing but silence. If it's a colorful and fun page with just a few lines I'll listen to almost everything; Drake, Marina And The Diamonds, Kent, Adele, Guns 'n' Roses and what-not. My music preferences are extremely varied :D

i have music on almost all the time. what's on just totally depends on my mood.

I watch (rather, listen) to the tv while I'm on the laptop on my couch.

I scrap while my girls are falling asleep - I'm at the foot of their bed with the lights off. I'm afraid to go back and read my journaling....I'm sure it's full of typos since I can't see it!!!!

Depends on the time of day. If I scrap at night and one of the shows I watch regularly is on then I watch tv, if it's during the day then normally music. Just depends on if there is something on I really want to watch.

It depends...if it's during naptime then I scrap listening to music....if it's in the evening, then I am usually catching up on my dvr'd Bravo TV shows...it's my VERY guilty pleasure, lol!!

This. The only time there's no music is when I have a headache, but I don't scrap then. :-)

always music, unless I go to the basement and forget my ipod. I don't scrap on my laptop usually and my desktop is down in the basement/familyroom. I haven't been spending as much time down there because of the new puppy chewing or peeing on everything. LOL!

I have Pandora Radio on whenever I am scrapping

I use to scrapbook with music on but since the kids have gotten louder (& nosier) I turn everything off as soon as they go to bed. So now I enjoy the silence while I scrapbook.

I listen to the sounds of silence. OMGosh, since I had kids I almost never listen to music by choice. I love to hear the birds outside, the cars passing by (though those jerks that lay on their horns make me crazy), the sound of my keyboard typing...that's way better to me than any music these days!

ha, ha... when I first saw the title "whats that noise" it made me think of kiddo's current favorite toy that asks him "whats that noise?" So now when he hears something he asks, "What's that noise, mama?" :D

I can't stand silence... makes me jittery... so the radio is on 24/7 in multiple places in the house... but for scrapping 99% of the time I'm on the sofa in front of the tv... for when I'm doing hybrid - it's at the kitchen table with the radio or ipod going... my music choices are all over the board...

If I'm at home I usually have a TV on for background noise. Depends on the show as to whether or not I spend more time watching it than scrapping, or vice versa. Although lately I've left the tv off and listened to my itunes, or even to nothing at all.

If I'm scrapping at work during lunch, then I'm listening to my music.

So I guess I'm all over the board, LOL!

I really love music and listen to it all the time when I'm not working BUT I get too distracted when I scrap with music on. I don't just "listen" to music; I have to listen to each part - the melody, each instrument, and I'll get into a certain aspect of a song - the drums, the bass, the lead, the piano, the sax, etc. I guess it comes from playing a lot of instruments.

So for me it's usually silence or a movie/TV show reruns that I've seen before, because I don't pay too much attention to it while I'm scrapping. I will scrap on my desktop because I love the huge screen and put something in my laptop and put it to the right of my desk so I can listen and watch bits and pieces as I scrap along.
