Flab Redux Day 2

Did you exercise today? What did you do?

I'm really sore from yesterday's workout... but I'm forcing myself to do something today... not sure what yet.

Not done anything yet, Tuesday is normally one of my days off from the gym. I think I'm going to do some sit ups/squats today so I can say I've done something lol.

The A/C in the Cardio Cinema was not working so this was like a sauna workout.
Elliptical 1.13 miles, 15 minutes, 154 calories
Treadmill run 1.03 miles, 12:23 minutes
15 minutes on the leg machines

Well, after having a plateau last week (Didn't lose a freakin ounce after working out and sticking to my WW plan), I went in this morning and started weight training. I also decided to shake up my cardio a bit and instead of doing an hour on the elliptical, I started the Couch to 5K running program. Hopefully these changes will help me get back to losing weight. I was so pissed that I lost NOTHING after all my hard work this week. Talk about discouraging....

I failed again. ::sigh:: Kicking myself tonight over it too as the storm clouds cleared out and now it's bright and sunny and wonderful.
Tomorrow is another day though......

Walked for 45 minutes at lunch today with mom and am planning on walking for at least one hour during The Biggest Loser finale tonight.

Ran 2 miles today. Was hoping for 3, but I was just sooo bored of running around the track. It's 15 laps to the mile.

DH is home from work for the rest of the week, so I'm hoping to get some outdoors runs in!

ColleenSwerb 05-24-2011 08:18 PM

Good job Kara!! I haaaaaate running around a track. I can handle a treadmill with some tv's in front of me, but running around in circles on the track was never my thing. I ran middle distance in HS just so I wouldn't have to do 43898432 laps every day (middle distance trained with the distance group, which did more trail-like workouts around the school grounds).

nothing for me today :( the kids are so sick and I just didn't have the time to do anything

newfiemountiewife 05-24-2011 08:26 PM

Can I join too? :)

I did Jillian's 30 Day Shred, Level 2, and part of Level 1. I have a sinus infection and something going on with my throat but I was feeling so down about a random 4 pound increase since yesterday, I couldn't let today go by without doing something. I did run 10k yesterday, so it was pretty annoying LOL! Today was supposed to be a rest day for me.

Kara 05-24-2011 09:03 PM

Col, I've been running on a treadmill all winter and was getting so bored and unmotivated so I switched to the track for awhile just for a change of pace. Now that's getting old, too. I much prefer outdoors, but because of childcare issues, I'm usually limited to the track or 'mill.

Kiki 05-24-2011 10:55 PM

Okay, didn't do my hour, but I did get in 1.5 miles in half an hour tonight while watching American Idol.

AmyG 05-25-2011 01:23 AM

 I slacked. It stormed, again, and with the power off and on I was scared to get on the treadmill. Not that I didn't have the chance earlier in the day haha, that's where the slacking came into play. I will try and get it done earlier in the day tomorrow, since it *is* storm season here.

30 mins walking/15 minutes walk/running/10 minutes Arc Trainer, 5 minutes weight training
